Giant Honey Bee (Apis dorsata) shot at Punggol wasteland Sept 2009

Giant honey bee,Never seen in lower Sindh but it is bocoming a common bee/Pollinator of Oil Seed Crops of Sindh.

Basically it is of southern and southeastern Asia mainly in forested areas like the Terai of Nepal. The subspecies with the largest individuals is the Himalayan cliff honey bee - Apis dorsata laboriosa - but typical Apis dorsata workers from other subspecies are around 17–20 millimetres (0.7–0.8 in) long.

Dopo la fine dell'acacia, le api in attesa di castagno e tiglio, bottinano sui numerosi prati della nostra zona.

Le specie prese in considerazioni dagli insetti sono numerose, in questi scatti le ho trovate su Amorpha Fruticosa, Salvia Pratensis, Potentilla reptans, Trifolium repens, Lamiastrum Galeobdolon, Cardus nutans, Antheris tinctari e su altre specie che spero di inserire tra poco.
