Baden van Aphrodite: Volgens de legendes was het hier in deze natuurlijke poelen binnen in een grot en beschaduwd Zoals de naam zegt, wordt verteld dat de Godin van de Liefde in deze grot kwam baden. Volgens de legende ontmoette Aphrodite hier ook haar minnaar, de knappe Adonis, toen hij eventjes stopte om te drinken tijdens het jagen. Het ogenblik dat Adonis van het water dronk, werd hij verliefd op de godin. Ook nu nog kan je deze baden bezoeken en er een duik in nemen, of je kan één van de vele paden dwars door de ongerepte natuur volgen naar één van de adembenemende uitkijkpunten over de kust of het Akamas schiereiland.

Yet another Fritillary. I realize that to people who aren't into the finer points of Fritillary identification, they probably all look the same. I got a very good education from the experts at the University of Alberta Lepidoptera identification service this season.
This my 30th butterfly species post including 7 Fritillaries since I put my bird lens temporarily away on June 05.
