I came across this horse carriage with the fiaker (driver?) asking if anyone had called a taxi. He smiled as he said it, he knew who he was waiting for

The Talla reservior.

A beautiful place to spend a day.

Using the jones-orton technique I just can't do it justice like he does.

A Yellow-throated Warbler inquires after Mr. and Mrs. Bug on a Thanksgiving morning.

I've posted shots of this fence before, but it borders the dog park where we spend a part of every afternoon, and it's hard to pass it without reaching for my camera.

Walking along the beach from the hotel to the area where locals cook, delicious fresh food. As it was sunset the beach was also filled with people just out for an evening stroll.

This was taken through the shop window of one of the many chocolatier shops in France. I was amazed that it didn't produce loads of reflection!

Reworked this into mono as want happy with the colour version. A fabulous morning in the bleak Scottish highlands earlier this year.

Happy Bench Monday ... thankfully this is not a scene we should be seeing anymore here in Baltimore for this season ... but you never know :)

Many thanks to all who comment, fave or just enjoy looking, it really is very much appreciated!

Just a simple candid street style Snapograph captured at The South Bank London UK of a couple enjoying themselves taking snaps.

"THANK YOU KINDLY" to anyone who finds this shot good enough to put amongst their "FAVES".

Hahndorf, SAHistoric German Village

Hahndorf is the oldest surviving German Village in Australia and is a popular tourist destination. Many of the original buildings and traditions have been retained and Hahndorf's village atmosphere is complimented by a myriad of cafes and speciality shops.

There are hotels, restaurants, galleries, artisans at work, gourmet food outlets and a wide selection of accommodation. Several wineries showcase the best of Adelaide Hills' wines a short drive from Hahndorf.

What is this?

There won’t be a prize given for the correct answer because I don’t know what the correct answer is.

At first I thought it was a water tower, but it is very short and narrow for that. Although this color paint is often used for water towers. It is probably not an alien landing platform, so I think it must be some kind of tank to store oil. The strange thing is that it is at the end of a short stone road, with three houses on it, in a residential neighborhood. Note all the electrical panels on the small attached building.

Dominoes - cousins of playing cards - originated in China in the 1300s and represent one of the oldest tools for game play. From professional domino game competition to setting them up and then knocking them over, dominoes allow for a variety of games, as well as tests of skill and patience, and most importantly, fun!

This rather worn French dominoes set that has come into my possession has earned each and every chip, dint and scratch as it was made by hand in the late Eighteenth or very early Nineteenth Century. The black base layer is made of ebonised wood, whilst the top, white pieces, are ivory - now yellowed with age - with the circular grooves inked in black paint. The two layers are affixed together with a silver rivet in the centre of each piece.

I can imagine two Regency ladies, characters from a Jane Austen novel playing dominoes to test each other's skills, patience and strategy! Can't you?

As the world is undergoing an unforeseen change this year, I wonder how financial planning is going to be effected? When I took this picture I was thinking things could be back on track soon and the typical log cabin provokes thoughts of retirement. Now I'm wondering if the taunting title I thought of then is now maybe a little too real -- but I'm deciding to keep it.

This is one of my first processed in Affinity Photo. I've used tone mapping to get a bit more detail out than usual. (It's not 'classic' HDR, as it is one RAW file only.)

This is the same dock leaf bug species I uploaded a couple of days ago - coreus marginatus. I'm not sure if it's the same individual but if it is, it's certainly enjoying our fruit and veg.

- previously found in the spinach and now in the raspberries. Looking a bit like a pre-historic plated dinosaur, it really is a very tiny raspberry visitor so I don't think we're going to notice, or mind about, a few little nibbles.
