I saw this Anthrax anthrax fly several times at the bee hotel in front of the nests of Osmia (Heriades) truncorum. So another parasite that lays the eggs in their nests.

Gruinard island, also known as Anthrax island after British scientists tested a germ bomb there in 1942. Behind it rises An Teallach, covered in low cloud - but some sunlight is filtering through the clouds to illuminate the foothills and the island.
