BNSF ET44C4 3787 leads the westbound Q-AUGLAC6-09L Austell (Atlanta), GA to LA repo train climbing the Arizona Divide at Angell, AZ under a Waxing Gibbous moonrise while the headlight of a westbound following is visible.
The famous signal bridges are still standing, if you look closely near the rear of this train you can see one. Here on a cold Oct morning a westbound z-train glints at Angell, the train is curving and about to hit the E. Darling crossovers.
BNSF ES44DC 7619 leads the westbound G-BETGUC9-07A corn train from Beatrice, NE to Guernsey, CA at Angell, AZ at sunrise running 4x3x2 DPU configuration with head-end power 7619/7554/5233/653-mid-DPUs-4386/5035/KCSM487 and rear-DPUs 8160/4813 with 114 loads, 0 empties, 16190 tons, 7303 feet.
The sun has almost completely dropped behind the distant western horizon. The bite of the steady winter breeze feels sharper as the rays of light dwindle. Other than the blowing of the wind, the desert is silent. In the distance, a bright shimmering line appears, slowly, passing beneath the mountains as if part of a distant mirage.
The 'short' 5,500 ft long eastbound BNSF intermodal train descends the Seligman Subdivisions grade on the long tangent between Angell and Canyon Diablo, AZ. Despite travelling upwards of 60mph, the trains movement appeared minimal due to its distance of over six miles from my location at the western edge of Canyon Diablo. The freezing overnight temperatures that February was preserving the results of a recent snowfall on the mountains.

A face-up on one of the newest sculpts of Angell-Studio. The sculpt is actually a boy's sculpt called Paddy, and it's such a cheery face.
I had to give her a natural and freckly Pipi Longstockings inspired Face-up, and now it's a 'she' :)
On May 7, 1976, the photographer became eyewitness tight up to the explosive large fire of Hotel Bristol that previously was located on this plot. I was present in downtown and discovered the smoke shoot up a few quarters beyond, and arrived at the place after a few minutes.

As your Biblical knowledge widens

There are many who regard an increasing acquaintance
with the text of the Bible, as an evidence of growth in
grace.
Ask yourselves the solemn question. In proportion as
you store your minds with biblical texts and biblical
ideas--are you all the while seeking to have your
heart filled with biblical feelings, and your life with
biblical actions?
As you grow in acquaintance with the character of God--
do you reverence Him more? As your ideas brighten on the
person of Christ--do you love Him more? As you become
more acquainted with the perfection and spirituality of
God's Word--do you delight in it more? As you see more
clearly the evil of sin--do you hate it with a more intense
hatred?
As your Biblical knowledge widens, do you become . . .
more profoundly humble,
more tenderly conscientious,
more gentle,
more spiritual?
Unless this is the case, you are in a fatal mistake by
supposing that you are making progress in the divine
life, merely because you are advancing in biblical
knowledge.
