I was 5 and Tom was 6 months younger. He has cancer and is currently undergoing Kemo. I would appreciate, if you are so inclined, to remember him and me in your prayers!
This old bridge was beautiful but difficult to get a shot of. I wanted to make the clutter a part of the picture but there was just so much, and then the harsh sunlight. I had to work a bit to come up with this. I'll be shure to get back to this subject.
I lost count of how many times I chased this feather as it took off in the breeze. Gave me some exercise and tickled me. HMM!

Wind and fire, never a good combination . Christie Mountain wildfire just above Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park and Painted Turtle Winery and vineyard.

Most of the people like summer. Me too. More than just like it. Especially in case the summer is warm and beautiful. When it makes you sing and dance.
Not a fresh photo this time. But it represents the summer emotions quite well.
Thank you for all the comments and faves my friends.
This is the same picture with obviously lots changes. Used Lightroom CC and the new Luminar 4 for the night sky with Milky Way stars.
Here's a link to the day version.
after coming down one of the hills on my property. He is the cutest little horse on the planet. And notice how clean the creek got his feathers. They were full of mud earlier, LOL. He loves the mud.
Loving this cooler fall weather. After the dreadful summer we had this is so welcome, temps that call for sweatshirts. I'm wearing my favorite sweatshirt. I got it in Alaska and it says "It's cooler in Alaska". Has a bear on it of course :-). And the bear is wearing glasses, like me
This week's Smile on Saturday group theme is 'Egg-ceptional'. I had several ideas but then one of my photographer frogs organized a crazy Easter photoshoot. The photo model is a normal hen's egg disguised as a fancy chicken. :) HSoS !
I am fortunate to live close to the Starnberger See, with view to the alps from my home.
Therefore I have a large collection of photos with mountains, water and clouds,
Constructive critic and positiv feedback is always welcome.
Brianne and Holly take the Blue Ribbon at the Horse Park of New Jersey during the first competition of the season. Holly is a rescue Hackney Pony that lives with us. A very competitive pony that just didn't fit into the previous owner's program and was given up on.
I've been off shooting this week but will return soonest.
Lords-and-Ladies or Arum maculatum. A perennial found in woodland and hedges. The fruits consist of bright red berries in a spike during the Autumn months.

Admittedly, it was a big crop, but it was really nice to see the adult and the young eaglet be in the same space. I wonder what the adult might have been communicating to its offspring?

The texture and shapes of the weathered cliffs along this coast are superb. Even though I was chasing landscapes yesterday, I couldn't resist one of the wonderful patterns. No title would be suitable, so Cease and Desist by Brakes is as good as any.

Das MKM —
Kulturkern seit 1865

I enjoyed a beautiful weekend walking Sarah Duke gardens and checking out the eagles at Jordan Lake. I was pleased to see some hellibores and trillium blooming as well as buds showing on the trees! What can I say? Love and Happiness! :-) Enjoy your week my friends! ~Sam

Fire and ice
BY ROBERT FROST
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
One of my attempts at the "Macro Mondays" theme "Small and Smaller".
Shot with a Fuji "Fujinon-EFC 35 mm F 5.6" (enlarging) lens on a Canon EOS R5.
Shade and Scenery warm day in the mountains umbrellas made for a bit of cool and the plants provided some beauty.
These four contestants didn't make the final of "Dancing with the Birds".
A Peacock, Grey Heron and two Muscovy Ducks looking rather dejected! Better luck next year guys!
Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment or fav my images.
OLEG and PETER are at BERNUS BARKULA's castle. They have food, drink and a place to sleep. BERNUS found them deep in the forest and is happy with this find. He is lonely and sad. He was once dumped by his owner and has lived in an abandoned castle ever since. OLEG and PETER's sleeping place inside a clock. PETER is scared and cannot sleep. OLEG keeps an eye on everything.
To be continued......
