Ford Model T Hot Rod
Fired by Champion
I cannot even begin to imagine driving this rod, hence the limited visibility of this beauty!
I love the partial faces through the narrow, slit-like windshield. The driver and passenger were doing a left check before proceeding to making a right turn into traffic.
Reminds me of the ZZ Top Eliminator car or the coupe that John Milner drove in American Graffiti.
1957 Ford Thunderbird.
Very similar in appearance to the 1956 White Thunderbird that Suzanne Somers mesmerized us with in the 1973 movie American Graffiti, this beautiful 1957 model has all the bells and whistles except Suzanne ;-))

Three of the cars straight out of the movie American Graffiti . . . on display at Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida . . . and what better place to display them than Mel's Drive-In.
It probably looks like my usual stuff, but it comes as a little breakthrough for me, as I've finally figured out how to build these on a proper plate. That means they're twice as sturdy, the minifig fits a lot better (even with fancy haircuts) and I now have a lot more options for adjusting the chassis for different stance needs.
A big shout-out for Auri, who's never ending patience always gets me the right shiny touches in just the right places.
I did a double take when I saw Suzanne Somers looking out the winndow of this car. As it turned out, this was the 1956 Ford Thunderbird she was driving in the movie, "American Graffiti".

Well, the local Maverick gas station is no Mel's Drive-In, but it does look pretty cool when the sun is going down.

This is a portrait Mom had taken of me by a professional photographer when I was about two. It has faded badly, so I enhanced the lighting to bring out the features, and restore it.

Early White Thunderbird, affectionately known as the T-bird.
(I am not sure of the year of this beautiful, classic car)
Reference to a white Thunderbird: (Just for fun)
In 1973, actress Suzanne Somers stole a huge spot on the big screen, leaving a lasting impression (to all viewers) as the beautiful, mystery lady driving a 1956 white Thunderbird in the classic, hit movie American Graffiti.
Here's a short clip from the 'classic movie', American Graffiti

Yeah, you've been reading all about me
And you're loving what you found
I'm like American graffiti
You want some glitter, drink it down
Yeah, you've been seeing all about me
Taking notes, yeah, write it down
I'm like American graffiti
If you need me, I'm here now
If you need me, I'm here now...

Late night meal at Mel's Drive Inn after the McMurtry show and everywhere we went was packed to the gills with "gradjeea8tun parties"...Oh, Well...Just another junk food meal that my doctor told me to stay away from...
This is one of many shots I took at Petaluma's annual Cruisin' the Boulevard salute to American Graffiti last weekend. And YES, the film "American Graffiti" was, indeed, filmed right here in my home town. How cool is THAT??!! :-D
And the name of this classic car really was "Pink Luv". ;-)
