Ama is a suburban town in Osaka-Kobe area. I took this with Konica C35EF3 and Fuji Acros.
With rather big curvature of the rail, the train vehicle makes a scream here.
Since me and Cecily are OBSESSED with the movie "Practical Magic" it was only fitting to take a pic inspired by it!

A photo of great importance to me. Hanging on the living room wall as a constant reminder of how lucky I was to escape the mountain with my life.

M35 (ou NGC 2168) est un amas ouvert4,2 situé dans la constellation des Gémeaux. Il a été découvert par l'astronome suisse Jean Philippe Loys de Cheseaux en 1745. L'amas a été observé par Charles Messier le 30 aout 1764. NGC 2168 est à environ 816 pc (∼2 660 al) du système solaire et les dernières estimations donnent un âge de 95,3 millions d'années.
À ses côté, on peut apercevoir NGC 2158, un amas ouvert plus dense, plus ancien et plus éloigné (environ 16 500 années-lumière).
Messier 35 or M35, also known as NGC 2168 or the Shoe-Buckle Cluster, is a relatively close open cluster of stars in the west of Gemini, at about the declination of the Sun when the latter is at June solstice. It was discovered by Philippe Loys de Chéseaux around 1745 and independently discovered by John Bevis before 1750.
The compact open cluster NGC 2158 lies directly southwest of it.

Ama Dablam (22,349 ft), taken from the village of Chhukhung (15,500 ft) in Sagarmatha National Park, the Everest region of Nepal.
Ama Dablam means "Mother's necklace".6,812 metres (22,349 feet), is perhaps the most visually striking mountain in the world.The long ridges on each side of this stunning Himalayan peak resemble long arms, like that of a mother (ama), protecting her child. M56 (NGC 6779) est un amas globulaire situé dans la constellation de la Lyre à environ 30 660 a.l. (9,4 kpc) du Soleil et à 30 010 a.l. (9,2 kpc) du centre de la Voie lactée. L'astronome français Charles Messier a découvert cet amas globulaire et il l'a ajouté à son catalogue le 23 janvier 1779. Il l'a décrit comme une faible nébuleuse sans étoiles. Cette même nuit, il a découvert la comète de 1779 (C/1779 A1 (Bode)).

Taken on our trekking adventure in Nepal on November 1, 2012. We had left at 01:20AM for a summit climb of Island Peak and at about 05:40AM while looking southwest the purple and pinks of the pre-dawn sky really highlighted Ama Dablam well....so I guess I just had to take a couple images on my Nikon D7000. Image taken at over 18,000'.

Mountain of the day is Ama Dablam. It is not the highest mountain in the neighbourhood - "only" 6,812m - but very picturesque. Especially when the monsoon clouds linger around!
