Here you go partner. I hope you like it. I used a Botanics print for the binding and a light grey Aurifil thread for the quilting. Blogged debs-doodlings.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/alyof-patchwork-pri...

Copied (with permission) from Little Bluebell (www.flickr.com/photos/littlebluebell/8578272689). Quilted horizontally using a serpentine stitch. I love the way this turned out!

Intertwined QAL and August ALYoF. Thanks to Julie/Intepid Thread [http://www.flickr.com/photos/41107881@N03/] for helping with the fabric selection to make sure I had the perfect coordinating solids.

I finally finished the top for my Marcelle Medallion quilt, and I love it.

Completed the borders, added them to the top, made the backing and binding. I even delivered it to be Longarmed last night. So happy to have this one almost done after three years!!!!

Goal setting post - 86

BLOGGED: capitolaquilter.blogspot.com/2013/07/alyof-july-goal-crad...

part of my July LYoF goal and one of the 9 items on my FALQ3 goal mosaic

A bit ambitious, although half of them need only quilting and binding.

I'll need to get better pictures before I actually send it off (there's actually three lines of hand stitching below the patchwork which you can see too well), but TinyAcorn asked for a view of the outside. So, here it is! ALYoF Goal set here: www.flickr.com/photos/ajrice11/15244442170/

Created for the Project QUILTING 'Can You Measure Up' challenge using my never used before dresden ruler. I made the traditional dresden plate into a 'twisted' version of a neighborhood #52btt and completed this piece also for my 'A Lovely Year of Finishes' May Goal.

Finished size ~23.5" x 23.5"

Made by Kim Lapacek, Poynette, WI

Synn - this is what I'm starting with - what do you think?

Diamonds Are Forever is the name of this quilt. The pattern is from Aylin-Nilya

I am happy to have finished it in time for ALYoF. I used a lot of wacky colour combinations, so, no, your eyes are not playing tricks on you.

Partner - what do you think about this? Modified from Amanda Murphy's "Snowfall" in the book Modern Holiday. Or would you prefer a more traditional pinwheel block? Or maybe something else entirely. The layout is not set - this was just to get a general idea.

Partner - I know showing the front will be a dead giveaway - but here is the pretty back of your doll quilt. Hope you're excited to see the rest! My kids have another snow day tomorrow - but hopefully I can still make it out to the post office.

ALYOF and Q1 2014 FAL goal - complete!

At some point I'll get a picture that accurately shows the colors but for now here's the finished swoon top. 😊 I'm thinking of sending it out to get quilted but I can't decide if I want baptist fans like Camille's or something else. There are so many choices. #thimbleblossoms @thimbleblossoms #swoonalong #swoonalong2015 #swoonquilt #alyof #showmethemoda #aurifil
