The focusing is a little soft on me (for sure), but I guess that just gives me incentive to get it right tomorrow morning.

pretty happy with how everything else turned out, however.

Mika and I waiting by the elevators in the Burrard Hotel for Mom and Dad to meet us there after having forgotten something in their room. There's something that seems so something about this photo, I just can't seem to put my finger on what it is.

As requested by TomTom, here's Mika pointing out the setting sun on the horizon.

We're chilling on the rocks of Kloochman park in West Van, overlooking Bowen Island and the rest of the Georgia Straight. Delights.

We also managed to go live with our new Veilance website today, so pumped on finally having that monkey (mostly) off my back. SO. pumped.

so... does anyone have any pocket wizards they want to sell (or at least a transmitter for skyports)? my transmitter is indeed the reason for my remote trigger failures :(

i have so many killer ideas for the rainy season photo shoots, but almost all require some off camera flash work, which will be tough to do without getting the triggers sorted out. almost as tough as timing the run from the camera to the bike and into this corner at the start of 7th Secret. or at least it would have been if i hadn't been wearing all my goretex, bahahaha :D

in other news, my first gen razr finally died last night/today... so i guess it's time to go phone shopping. i wouldn't mind the delights of an iPhone, but to be frank, that would dip further into my new bike fund than i'm willing to accept.

hahaha, if not for the riot that would ensue if i wen't totally awol, i wouldn't even get a replacement.

Tonight I used Granger's finest Gore-Tex washing solution to clean some of my soiled gears, and luckily for me, no one found my treasure chest of gore and pilferred it.

The Don CeSar Hotel, built in 1928 by Thomas Rowe, has the reputation of being the most haunted hotel in Tampa Bay. Thomas Rowe built the hotel as a tribute to his long-lost love, Lucinda. It is said that his spirit can be seen haunting the halls in search of her. The guided tour includes tales of sightings and other reports of paranormal activity and ends with a complimentary drink and salad at the Don CeSar’s outdoor Sea Porch Café.
