Die „ALEXANDER von HUMBOLDT II“ ist ein ziviles Segelschulschiff. Sie wurde 2011 von der Brenn- und Verformtechnik GmbH, ein Unternehmen der Rönner Gruppe, in Bremen/Bremerhaven erbaut als Nachfolgerin der legendären Alexander von Humboldt I, besser bekannt als das "Becks-Schiff" mit seinen grünen Segeln - bekannt und berühmt geworden durch die Werbespots der bekannten Biermarke. Die Alex II, wie sie liebevoll genannt wird, wird mit hohem Sicherheitsstandard sowie modernsten nautischen und technischen Einrichtungen betrieben. Man kann auch sagen ein moderner Rahsegler, in einem historischem Gewand.
“ALEXANDER OF HUMBOLDT II” is a commercial sailing training ship. It was established in 2011 by Brenn- und Verformtechnik GmbH, a company of the Rönner Group, in Bremen. /Bremerhaven was built as a successor to the legendary Alexander von Humboldt I, better known as the “Becks-Schiff” with its green sails – known and made famous by the advertisements of the well-known beer brand. The Alex II, as it is affectionately called, is operated with high safety standards and state-of-the-art nautical and technical equipment. One can also say a modern sailboat, in a historical dress.

Bei Neustadt an der Waldnaab steht noch eine alte Rundbogenbrücke, die sicherlich im Zuge der Elektrifizierung der Strecke abgerissen wird. An diesem Sommertag fuhr die 223 071 mit ihrem ALEX in Richtung Schwandorf.
Die 223 072 trägt noch die Werbung aus ihrer alten Heimat, dem Allgäu. Mit ihrem Alex hat sie soeben Weiden in der Oberpfalz verlassen und fährt nun in Richtung Schwandorf.
This is Alex. She just turned 17. She does odd job for people in my Townhouse community. Sadly, she's not very good at much ..;) I tried paying her to help me with my garden but she couldn't seem to catch on and was slow as molasses. One of my neighbors hired her to help around the house and said she really wasn't good at that either. Another hired her to baby sit and I think she did OK with that. Her parents brough her a car and she looks for odd jobs to get gas money which is why we all have tried to help her out because she's a really nice girl. Anyway, I thought she must be good at something so I paid her to pose for me and she actually did a pretty good job of it

Mit einem ALX nach Hof / Prag fuhr die 183 004 am bekannten Motiv bei Volkmannsdorf vorbei. Bleibt abzuwarten, inwiefern sich dieses Motiv durch die Erneuerung der Oberleitung verändert.
Blitzblank war die 223 071 an diesem Frühlingsabend, als diese mit dem RE2 / RE 25 aus München in Richtung Hof unterwegs war.
Auf dem Weg nach Hof war die 223 067 mit ihrem Alex. An den Fischteichen bei Wiesau gelang ein Foto.

Als der Alex in der nördlichen Oberpfalz noch Alltag war: 223 072 - damals noch mit der "Griaß di Allgäu" Werbung unterwegs, fuhr in Richtung Regensburg.
Die Länderbahn GmbH betreibt im Auftrag der BEG Regionalverkehre auf der ehemaligen Interregio-Linie 25. Im südwestlichen Bayern umfasst das Netz die Strecken von München über Kempten nach Lindau und Oberstdorf. Die Traktion auf der Stichstrecke Immenstadt - Oberstdorf wird dabei nicht direkt von der Länderbahn, sondern von einem Subunternehmen, der SVG aus Augsburg erbracht.
Seit Anfang Mai setzt die SVG die 218 447 des Unternehmens Railsystems RP aus Gotha vor den Zügen ein. Das Ergebnis versetzt so manchen Beobachter in eine andere Zeit, waren doch ozeanblau-beige 218er des Bw Kempten jahrelang vor den allgäuer Interregios im Einsatz.
Auch bei mir weckte 218 447 mit ALX 84158 Erinnerungen an schöne, längst vergangene Zeiten (Altstädten|06.05.2018).
182 515 zieht einen Alex-Zug aus München bei Volkmannsdorf entlang der Amper, die hier in die Isar mündet.
Die Citytour-Lok war am Dienstag wieder im Einsatz. Gerade erst hat die Lok den Alex nach München übernommen und durchfährt hier Hagelstadt.

183 005 zog am Abend des 30. Juni 2012 den ALX 357 von München Hbf nach Praha hl.n. Dieses Bild entstand auf dem Streckenabschnitt zwischen Landshut und Regensburg bei der Durchfahrt durch Ergoldsbach.
I had the pleasure of photographing my cousins daughter's wedding this week. The venue was Sandhole Oak Barn in Congleton, Cheshire.
A pretty full on day with the camera from 10am until 9.30pm. I must admit the nerves got to me initially but once in the swing it was really enjoyable. A cracking super chilled out wedding and probably the best I have ever been.
This was one of the 'creative' shots that was on my list to shoot.
