Alcatel-Lucent sponsored a Corporate team for this year's Gran Fondo, NJ. The team had 35 riders, comprised of current employees, retirees and other cyclist-friends and family who are committed to supporting the very impactful work of The Seeing Eye, and its mission to advance the independence and dignity of blind and visually impaired people through the use of Seeing Eye dogs.
Alcatel Lucent USA has a large employee presence in New Providence, New Jersey and has been a proud corporate partner of The Seeing Eye since 2010 through the Alcatel-Lucent Foundation.
Alcatel-Lucent encourages employee involvement in the community through volunteerism as part of our annual Global Days of Caring. The Gran Fondo on September 8th was one of the 2013 opportunities to support Global Days of Caring.

Nerdeky News:Alcatel officially announced its low-end smartphone – the Alcatel Flash 2 in India last month. With no words on pricing, the handset was officially said to be available in India at some point of this month. Now, fulfilling its words, the company has launched the handset in India and revealed that it will be available to purchase in the country through Flipkart – a local e-commerce portal from October 27 for INR 9,299.
Talking about specs, the Alcatel Flash 2 features a 5 inch LCD HD display with 720x1280 pixels of resolution and comes with 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to whooping 128GB via MicroSD. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit architecture-based MediaTek MT6753 SoC which packs an octa-core processor running at 1.3GHz of clocked processing speed paired with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and Mali-T720MP4 Graphics Processing Unit.
