Da ich mittlerweile zu viele Alben offen habe, mach ich an der Stelle dieses Album einfach mal zu. Da ich aber die Fotos Euch nicht vorenthalten möchte, werden die noch eben fix ohne viel Liebe veröffentlich.
Ihr dürft natürlich gerne Teilen, kommentieren, konstruktiv kritisieren und Folgen.

This photo album is printed more than a year go, unlike typical wedding photo album where the client want as much picture on the page, I prefer to choose simplicity, this album have twenty pages but only have sixteen pictures in it. You get my point. Some people may think it is a waste of space, well I'm not that "Someone".
This is 8x8 inch Square Album, why square because I like square and not many people have square album, usually they prefer 8x12 or 10x12 but very rare people choose a square album, but I'm not, my next album will be 13x13 inch, InsyaAllah... :-)

Al poble de Vignacourt, al departament del Somme, la unitat del nostre home, part de la 225 Infanterie Division, s'hi va estar des del estiu de 1941 fins just abans de Nadal.
Aquest és un album militar d'un soldat alemany de la Wehrmacht, força ampli en l'espai i el temps: va del 1941 al 1944 (pocs arriben tant enllà) i ens mostra els seus moviments durant la guerra per França, Alemania, la URSS i Dinamarca. És especialment interessant per comptar amb nombroses anotacions, el que ajuda molt a contextualitzar totes les imatges.
Pel context historic, crec força segur que es tracta d'un soldat de la 225 Infanterie Division. Posteriorment va anar a una escola de sots-oficials, on es graduà.
Per un dels retrats, sembla que l'autor (sempre amb ulleres) potser es deia Karl Heinz o bé Karlheim (cognom?).

In the village of Vignacourt, in the department of the Somme, our man's unit, part of the 225 Infanterie Division, was there from the summer of 1941 until just before Christmas.
This is a military album of a German Wehrmacht soldier, quite wide in space and time: it goes from 1941 to 1944 (few go that far) and shows us his movements during the war through France, Germany, the USSR and Denmark . It is particularly interesting to have numerous annotations, which helps a lot to contextualize all the images.
Considering these geographical movements, I'm quite sure he was a member of the 225 Infanterie Division.
From one of the portraits, it seems that the author (always with glasses) may have been called Karl Heim, or Karlheim (surname?).

Wow I am SO BLOWN AWAY by the amazing artwork of Richard Villa ! I have just approved the Album Cover of "Kicking & Screaming" & I am happy to say I have seen the wildest album cover this year .. & it's ours haha!! I am so proud of the music on this CD & now I can say I'm equally proud of the Cover Art. So many covers these days are just a headshot & a logo, zzzzzz. The album cover is a lost art & I am so glad Richard Villa knows how to create art that is as heavy as rock n' roll can be !! Can't wait for all of you to see it !
