Alaska Airlines currently flies this 2006-build 737-800 in a two-class seating arrangement for up to 157 passengers.
As far as 737NG variants go, the -700 has sort of gotten the short end of the stick in recent years as the -800 has proven to have better revenue potential; indeed, unlike other 737NG versions in its fleet, Alaska has already sold five of its -700s to other operators. They're still popular into John Wayne Airport though.

It's now my third time seeing Alaska Airlines' retrojet - still looks good! Meanwhile, precipitation a few days after Christmas actually put quite a bit of snow on the mountains in the background, but it's nearly all melted now.

Today Alaska Airlines will retire its final Boeing 737-900 N309AS as she goes from SeaTac to Marana for her final flight. The aircraft first flew back in July 2001. Happy I got to photograph her one last time recently.
