This is not an AI-generated photo, and the proof is to the right, where my original photo is. But it is (a bit modified) AI-edited photo. All information AI has used is drawn from my original photo. I suppose I could, after much work, get the same result regarding levels, colors, and contrasts by doing my usual editing. But here is the hack: This is a long exposure telephoto. And the camera movement was more than even my in-camera-image-stabilising (IBIS) could handle. And that is something that I could not have repaired through normal editing. AI did fix it. The final photo is still my photo, but AI has edited it better than I could have done. But is this good practice?
Every evening, she opens the large window.
The window where she loves to watch the setting sun.
The window where they had often sat together.
They had talked, but they had also endured the silence.
Kindred souls – yes, that’s what they were.
And now she was alone.
As the heavy heat of the day fades from the thick walls of the house, she reaches for two glasses and a bottle of her favorite red wine. She pours – into both glasses. She smiles at the empty chair, and for a moment, it feels as if she could see him. He smiles, he reaches for the glass – then the memory vanishes as quickly as it came.
And yet she knows he is there. He is always with her. He never left her. He has taken his place in her heart. There he waits, until it stops beating, knowing well that then they will be reunited.
She smiles and raises her glass to the empty chair. Then she takes a sip and looks over to the waterfall. How strange that she notices its wild roaring only now. Slowly, she sits down, leans back, and gazes at the chair again.
Yes, he was with her, here and now. A warm wave of love swept over her, and that feeling eased the pain.
True love does not fade – it changes. The body may be gone, but the souls remain united. For eternity, and beyond.

I'm back from an 11 day Hawaiian adventure. It was the last state I needed to get to 50 so I decided last minute to book a trip to the Big Island and Kauai. It was an amazing adventure - lots of hiking.
This is Hanakapi‘ai Falls on Kauai. To this falls and back is a tough and steep 8 mile round trip hike. The first 2 miles is on the Kalalau trail and the other 2 miles goes up the valley through the jungle with a few stream crossings. Once you get to this beautiful 300' falls it's worth it. People were enjoying a chilly swim right underneath it. Hawaii is beautiful!
