Why one should attend your reunion?
"At this stage in life, it’s fascinating to reconnect with each and every individual, learning what they have chosen to do with their life, revisiting with them the ups and downs we all face, learning from their experiences in ways never imagined. That we all share a common experience having gone to school in Ames gives us each a connection into a relaxed conversation without pretense, letting us focus less on the past and more on what are our own life experiences. Yes there is nostalgia in any gathering like this, but in contrast to prior reunions, I felt that coming together this summer after 20 years was really about us as adults, not who we were as teenagers." - Rodney Harl 1989 Ames High School Alum.
"There is truly something special about the relationships that are developed during our high school years. The way that we can come together, often after many years have passed, and reconnect completely in only a moment ...Of course I believe the AHS Class of '89 may be unique in how close we became ... or maybe it is unique to all of AHS. Either way it is pretty special and I wouldn't miss the opportunity to get back together for the world!" - Tyler Farner 1989 AHS Alum
