Can't believe that I'm the fool again
I thought this love would never end,
How was I to know?
You never told me
Can't believe that I'm the fool again,
And I who thought you were my friend
How was I to know !
So once again I have captured this composition. While I know that it is not entirely original for me, I can't get away from how much I like this spot. The way the water pulls your eye through the landscape and the contrast of the vibrant blue and the stark orange are so eye catching, I had to share one last image of this.
It's never too late for you to try again. This is the signal you were looking for to do it.

The first 25 flowers taken for my target of 100 in 2023.
I have got very behind in uploading my photos during these past few weeks, but am hoping to have more time again now. I think I may have said that before!
My husband thinks they're not as majestic as other raptors. According to Ancient Hebrew custom, they're unclean, "lesser eagles." With respect to my husband and Hebrew scholars, come on, dudes. He's gorgeous.
The eye looks better bigger.
Back to work today after a wonderful holiday....will try to get some new shots ready in next few days and hopefully find some time to catch up with everyone...Thanks for all your visiits...
This spot is close to my school...yes, you have seen it before...:-) remains of a field of corn..and a snow-free view unlike most typical December days...
Don't wanna feel another touch
Don't wanna start another fire
Don't wanna know another kiss
No other name falling off my lips
Don't wanna give my heart away
To another stranger
Or let another day begin
Won't even let the sunlight in
No, I'll never love again
I'll never love again
You can't control that you can't help it when you fall in love
I gave you everything and now I gotta give you up
And I know it's over
But if it's any closure
Even if I knew it would end
Even if I knew we wouldn't walk away friends
I'd still do it again
Sometimes I wanna call
'Cause even though it wasn't right
I still hope you're alright
See You Again - Wiz Khalifa / Charlie Puth
It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
We've come a long way from where we began
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again
Damn, who knew?
All the planes we flew, good things we been through
That I'd be standing right here talking to you
'Bout another path, I know we loved to hit the road and laugh
But something told me that it wouldn't last
Had to switch up, look at things different, see the bigger picture
Those were the days, hard work forever pays
Now I see you in a better place (see you in a better place)
With my friend Phil Howling on the right at the North Landing, Flamborough, East Yorkshire. A very quiet cove north of Brdilington. We had not met for above thirty years. Another friend Dave Staniforth took this shot.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VISITS, COMMENTS, AWARDS AND FOR ANY INVITES.
Good morning everyone and I hope you had a nice weekend. As the title indicates, presented today is a series on the always majestic Monarch (Danaus plexippus) while nectaring on Goldenrod (Solidago).
As the early Fall mild weather continues Monarchs still can be seen in decent numbers when out & about here locally, although the numbers have decreased somewhat from a week or so ago. But in general it has been a banner year for what many consider the most beloved butterfly in North America. I think I mentioned before that I have seen more Monarchs this season than I have in the past five years combined. A very good sign for a species that has many concerned about it's overall downward decline in numbers.
As for the above pic, once again I stitched together two different photos. Plus I also posted a close-up shot of the same butterfly seen above in the comment section, being the first photo. As for the rest of the photos, they're all of different butterflies.
Kind of a long series, but as always, don't forget to click on "view previous comments" if you don't see the photos in the comment section. Even better, scroll to them by clicking on the arrow thingy to the right of the above pic. And if you want to view any picture in the comment section large all you have to do is click on it where you'll also find the full text describing this species of butterfly.
Thank you for stopping by...and I hope you have a truly great day and week.

The local White Tailed Kites squabbling again.
I have heard of mass roosting of up to 29 Kites here. Today at sunrise I saw 11 kites in the air at one time, coming from the same direction. They were likely coming from that roost area. Quite a few of them flew directly off towards LLC.

On a Dull misty morning I just new Little owl would be sheltering in his hole again.. Low light levels today
Yes, it is snowing again. It's a very wet kind of snow, only the Dragon enjoys it, at least for a few minutes until it feels even too wet for his taste. Fynn only ventured outside for about 15 seconds.
Fynn and the Dragon are making progress. Yesterday evening they were sleeping side by side on the sofa, a first. It was lovely to see but sadly too dark for a photo.
Sorry if I don't comment much these days. I'm almost working day and night at the moment but hope that the worst will be over by the weekend.

Today is Valentines Day. And while most are focusing on the love of who they are with, I found inspiration in those who have lost the loves of their lives. There are those who are meant to touch our lives for however short of a time and stay with us forever.

Ever After
Alpen-Asters or Alpine asters are flowers I hardly ever see on my trips to the Alps, and this time I saw them twice! Once near the Rheinquelle (see earlier on in my album 'Disentis' and once here, on the descent towards Andermatt.
I love these relatively large 'purple daisies'.
Hello, again, hello
Just called to say hello
I couldn't sleep at all tonight
And I know it's late
I couldn't wait.
