Taketime Island is located in the sunny archipelago, where life is harmonic and relaxing. Here you find a bakery, café and diving club. You might also notice the old sailor staring longingly at the horizon or the beginning romance between the café worker and her customer (or the jealous man spying on them through the window...)

Base progress.

Space Needle just after sunrise.

[Sound on] I finished my build for this month’s RLUG (Sacramento Brick Builders) challenge: Create a bouquet or skyscraper. So I made an animation of the Soilent Green flower shop. I hear the flower arrangements are quite edible… just not so many returning customers for some reason…

This was lots of fun to do and animate. I designed everything in Bricklink Studio and textured and animated using Cinema 4D with Octane and Greyscalegorilla Light Kit Pro 3. I finished the video in After Effects with my own vocal sound effects and a song by DapperChapMusic, composed by Michael Collings. All of this was possible because of the awesome computer from Puget Systems.

Hope you like it. “Soilent Green is LEGO minifigures!!!”

What is BriXtar?

At BriXtar we love the LEGO® brick and we believe it lacks any upper age limit. By combining the digital and physical world we want to unite all the people who loves to create, child or adult, beginner or advanced. Everyone is welcome.

BriXtar is a social platform for anyone who loves building with LEGO®. Paths for creativity and curiosity is crossed as you share your creations and get inspired by other creative builders.

On BriXtar there is something to build for everyone. In an easy way you create your digital LEGO® library and we guide you to find new creations to build with manuals. If you already own all the brix needed, you can reuse them. If you miss some brix, you can buy them. With BriXtar you save money, build more sustainable and increase the use of your brix at home.

These are some behind-the-scenes shots of the road scenery I built for the setting of my forthcoming LEGO Back to the Future. Across a folding table I've placed several green baseplates with a long road MOC on top. The road is built with S.N.O.T. = studs not on top, by using bricks and plates assembled sideways to create the flat road pattern with divider lines. The road is anchored on the baseplates by using modified bricks on the top and bottom in just the right areas, which allows the road to be held securely into place. Then the modified bricks are covered with brown and tank pieces along with foliage to create the appearance of the road's shoulder.

Also, I added small notches throughout the road to mimic potholes. I did this by often placing small 1x1 wedge bricks or 1x1 round bricks throughout the pattern. Why are there so many potholes in this road? Well, I'm from Pennsylvania originally, so naturally I had to combat home sickness somehow.

In my Back to the Future animation, I have dozens of shots of both wide angles and closeups of the DeLorean speeding down the road, and for each shot I'd flip the table around and slightly move the plants to create the illusion of different stretches of road, as opposed to constantly using the same landscape over and over again.

Recent Hong Kong public housing design tends to be modulated and monotonous. Let's recall our memories of childhood fun running around the public estate by bricks! Scenes like Chinese clinic, playground, corridors and metal gates are recreated. Occupation of corridor for decoration, while not allowed in Hong Kong, is somehow very common in Singapore.

An old build of ours, this vignette was originally built for our first ever Halloween diorama. We loved it so much that we decided to keep it. Push over the tree to raise the zombie from the grave.

When the autumn wind is roaring outside and winter is getting closer it would be nice to have a place like this. A modern cottage with fireplace and large windows.

This build will hopefully be on display at LUG Swebrick´s first post-pandemic event in Hässleholm, Sweden, in November 2021.

A bot I had for a while at my desk. Decided to take some proper pictures today.

Found some old sets at flea market at a small lego exhibition in Vienna... I wanted those since my childhood, now I got them. Better late then never :)

This is an on-going project meant to become my entry to the Swebrick contest Master Builder of the Year 2018. The theme is "Children" and the build is supposed to be surrounded by streets and connected to the other entries.

I've chosen to build a pre-school called "The Cloud".

Hi everyone! I'm starting a new youtube channel specifically geared to the AFOL community, with an emphasis on building techniques. Please like, share and subscribe for content!

Bathroom of Lava House MOC.

Lava House is a modern home with a colour scheme inspired by the 1970's and hot lava. Dark orange, dark red, reddish brown and black are dominant colours.

The house is situated on a volcano shaped rock surrounded by a stream of water and sand. In some way it reminds me of Calmwater Cliff House MOC, but it is still very different.

Inside the house you find a fully furnished living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom downstairs and TV corner upstairs.

The grille tiled roof can easily be lifted off in order to display the interior.

My plan is to display Lava House at a Swebrick exhibition in Hässleholm, Sweden, in the middle of August 2018.

...at a pub where brewed products make people talk and old veteran soldier tells a tail to every listener that has gathered around him to hear his drunken legendary tail... so one more survived obviously!

Let us here his epic story:

So I tell you we were only on single single squad, no commander, so I was the most senior soldier, so I had to take command only young guys as meek as they could hardly life a spear...

(hiccups)

...so anyhow, we were up there defending our keep, they were being killed by the hundreds. some crying for mummy while they got their final stab in the chest....

(hiccups)

So now we were only two squads left, I had to command both of them one was below the keep one above the castle, I had to run like a madman between then two squadrons, giving them orders while at the same time killing as many barbarians as I could...

(hiccups)

some of the barbarians had hands as big as my ears and some breathed fire out of their eyes...

...one had two or maybe three heads, I cut of most of them, but the body kept on fighting, so I went to the blacksmith to make him make me a silver sword and only when I was back could I stab him in the heart with the potent weapon... so the headless body staggered and died...

(zip, zip, hiccups)

...there was blood everywhere, we had to swim through it with our swords and shields on our back and then when we were there, we had to put on our chainmail and crossbows again...

then a barabarabarian as large and huger than the church outside came forth towards me, we were only three squads left...

(we interrupt because the truthfulness of the story has been debated, not even in medieval times one want to spread fake news)

(..if you want a more truthful retelling of this even, we ask our dear viewer to scroll down to the curriers version of this story...)

Last year Kyle Keller (NorinTheSweary) showed me how he made his fantastic present bows. It was one of those moments that instantly turned on a lightbulb! A couple of months later realized that I could use the technique to create the chocolate ring in the middle of my Gingerbread Man's head!

That is one of the things that I love most about the AFOL community - the sharing of ideas that help us all become better builders. Since then; I have tried to follow in Kyle's footsteps and share my work-arounds for difficult problems. ...so here is how I was able to make the head.

Before I disassembled this house I had to take some better photos of the interior. Here is my original description of this MOC:

"House of Three is a contemporary Scandinavian family home. I've tried to catch contemporary Scandinavian architecture in colours, floor plan and roof design. The interior and furniture in inspired by IKEA and other Scandinavian designs. Comfortable living suitable for a small family."
