I like this film-developer-combination
No grain (zoom in!) though it is 35mm, Rodinal and digitalized for the positive. Sharp and good tonality.

Adox Film Advertisement in cartoon style.
As published in the Dutch weekly magazine "Panorama" in May 1941.
At that time The Netherlands was occupied by Germany.
In the first 6 months of 1941 there were about 10 advertisements of photographic equipment and then only just about Film.
No cameras any more !
Freely translated :
Scene 1:
She: Take your camera dear and let's make some nice photos of blossoms
He: But darling....with us photos of blossoms always fail.
Scene 2:
She: Do you see now....other people have more self confidence. Mr.Shooter here also makes photos of blossoms. And your camera is surely not lesser then his.
Scene 3:
Mr.Shooter: It is not the fault of your camera,- but of your film !
The Schleussner Adox (film) consists of two silver-bromide layers of different sensitivity. - That's why both light as well as dark areas are ALWAYS correctly exposed with the Schleussner ADOX (film).
Adox HR-50-speed boost @ ISO 50
Rodinal 1+25, 10 minutes at 22 °C
Initial: 30 seconds
1x tilt to the 5th minute
All zones are cleanly where I had calibrated them.
The higher resolution of the film (285 lp/mm) is very noticeable in the shadows.
Great combination.
Equipment: Canon EOS 3, Carl Zeiss Distagon 4 / 18mm, tripod.
Now I really am into the exotic. My regular flickr contacts know I use film as well as digital. This set is taken on Adox Scala - a black and white slide film (used to be made by Agfa). It's not easy to use, exposures have to be spot on. However while I normally under-expose slide film by 1/3 stop this requires under-exposure, you have to use the same skills and techniques as with B&W negative film but with the added complication of slides! However it does work very well. They were taken on a Zeiss Ikon Contarex Special that you can see in the last photo of the series.

Schöne Sucherkamera mit gekuppeltem Belichtungsmesser. Sie liegt gut in der Hand des Fotografen und lässt sich einfach bedienen. Die mit ihr gemachten Fotos sind qualitativ gut.
