Penrhyn Castle is a country house in Llandygai, Bangor, Gwynedd, North Wales, constructed in the style of a Norman castle. The Penrhyn estate was founded by Ednyfed Fychan. In the 15th century his descendent Gwilym ap Griffith built a fortified manor house on the site.
Now that the black and white challenge is over (for me) I can admit that I actually prefer this image in colour. So here it is.
I was on the bridge when a man with a camera came rushing past and quickly said "its going up, five minutes". It took me a moment to digest and understand what he'd said, but when the penny dropped I followed him round to the riverside. I don't think the bridge is raised very often nowadays so I was grateful to him.
The sailing barge making way under the bridge is The Ardwina which has been fully restored in traditional manner, based at St. Katherine Docks.

An old friend we were visiting in Sussex happened to be delayed, so we dropped by Groombridge Place. Unfortunately the last admissions were at 3.30, but we sat in the field adjoining the car park and had some tea - then this beauty showed up! Other peacocks I've met have been very shy, but this one came right over and ate from my hand!
"I have failed you Anakin, I have failed you."
"I should have known the Jedi were plotting to take over."
"Anakin, Chancellor Palpatine is evil!"
"From my point of view the Jedi are evil."
"WELL THEN YOU ARE LOST!"
"If you are not with me...then you are my enemy."
"Only a Sith deals in absolutes. I will do what I must."
"You will try.."
"Your anger and your lust for power have already done that! You have allowed this Dark Lord to twist your mind until now… until now, you have become the very thing you swore to destroy!''
"You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness!"
I haven’t seen one of these for a couple of years. I went to the Ukrainian Village Heritage Site 60 km east of Edmonton today and they were all over the place. If you live near Edmonton and want to see them, it is worth the price of admission. You will see some very cool architecture as well.

Welcome to all of you in this sixth Opus.
Cellular differentiation could have inspired the famous "Choixpeau" and its unquestionable dictat of impartial, implacable and invariable, or almost invariable, orientation ... .
A few days after the fertilization (the admission therefore) destined to make us become champions of artichoke combat "once we become big", our cells are similar, a kind of crucible in modeling clay, each of which, after their specialization, will keep a trace, like a manufacturer's serial number, throughout the cycles of renewal and evolution.
Before a very precise specification, the so-called naive cells (neutral, raw material TO BE DONE) will present themselves to 3 architects/programmers/cooks who are the three basic incubators of all the cells that will make us BECOME, we are here in the Human, Between the 3rd and 4th day of fertilization the cell division takes off, the embryo begins to migrate towards the uterus, and all this process is carried out perfectly, raising many more literally "existential" questions without the need to think about it or to worry about it; it's beautiful when you think about it. ..
It is the "transcriptional factors" that oversee and decide the "Career" of the cells. These Cellular Generals, present within the stem cells, will promote and encourage their renewal, in short; they will organize the cell to provide it with logistical support (fuel) and close protection. Indeed, external "bodyguard" cells will surround and work to maintain an optimal environment for the development of the "stem cells", a cocoon in short, well named "niche", the whole to refine, encircle with a matrix membrane as a shield (it should be seen as an eggshell), the white being the close guard, the yolk being the most precious... .
At the beginning of the 1980s, we thought that these orientations of cellular career were inscribed in our genetic heritage with, like any baggage, a place in the code line for a random transcription generated by adaptation to one's own environment of evolution in order to correspond to it as well as possible, we know today that it is not so simple, remaining still unable to know how our cells determine themselves by billions of homogeneous, specific and eminently complex ways to constitute us.
We speak here, in science, of "chance" in a field where our Vision, in the broadest sense, still remains blurred, in Medicine, we would have spoken of "anomaly" in Mechanics we would have spoken of "dysfunction" so each profession in the course of its history has developed a lexicon "of specific ignorance" filled with words more amply and learned from each other avoiding us, intelligently, to have this pain inherent in the human species, a tedious task which has become over the course of the MILLENNIUM TRADITION, that of admitting our ignorance. Let's call it "French charm" to stay romantic.
To become pragmatic again we understand here the importance given to research on stem cells and their series of controversies, cloning being one of the most "stormy" examples, and rightly so, these two sectors of research being tacitly linked, deontology and morality are a barrier to abuses, nevertheless like its namesake, the pressure exerted on its structure can cause its rupture, the risk remains, let us learn to swim because one day it may be explained to us that. ... "Hunger justifies the means..." point of surrender.
Let's prefer the voice of hope opened by the concurrent works to understand how and why these "stem cells" are organized, disciplined, hyper-polyvalent, adaptive and self-structured in such an ingenious way on a Macroscopic scale, it's like Magic... This much sought-after universality, the Holy Grail of civilizations, is still buried somewhere.
A.V.P.9
A few words to explain our short term objective:
We know very well that potential Geniuses spend hours every day in the garages of attic cellars, behind future projects contributing to the "best common", scratching plans, screens, tables, equations... etc, of GREAT curious people who scratch their heads on their sides, quite simply, then let us federate, encouraging synergy, the means to free ourselves from the "Master" lecturer and his unquestionable word, academic teaching remains essential as a Base, Once curiosity has become predominant it seems to be decisive to adapt, and on an equal footing, full of humility, throw a problem into the pit of ignorance to discuss it openly, because nature shows us that there are always 2 solutions to 1 problem.
*(Fr) Langue d'origine :
A.V.P.9
*Researchers and environmental analysts, our work focuses mainly on the dynamics of natural fluids and their potential for action as well as the systems of adaptation and evolution of species, the artistic aspect of this project being only a "Bonus".

Leighton Moss is the largest reedbed in north-west England, and home to some really special birds such as breeding bitterns, bearded tits and marsh harriers. You might see deer too, not to mention butterflies aplenty!
Opening times
The reserve and visitor centre are open daily all year round (except 25 December). The reserve is open from 9 am to dusk and the visitor centre from 9.30 am-5 pm (4.30 pm November-January inclusive).
Entrance charges
Free to the visitor centre and tearoom. Admission to hides and nature trails: £4.50 adults, £3 concessions, £1 children, £9 family. Free to RSPB members and those who come by public transport or on bike.
Avocet
Avocets can be seen from the hides overlooking the Allen and Eric Morecambe Pools in spring and summer.
Bearded tit
A year-round attraction here in the extensive reedbeds. They form flocks in autumn and can often be seen picking up grit from special tables on the causeway or directly from the paths.
Bittern
Bitterns can be heard 'booming' from the causeway between march and May. Scan over the reedbeds and you may catch a glimpse of one in flight - particularly in May and June. You may also see one sitting at the edge of the pools on frosty winter days.
Marsh harrier
Spring brings displaying marsh harriers to Leighton Moss. The males and females are busy feeding their young throughout summer and can often be seen hunting over the reedbed.
Water rail
Watch from the hides for water rails emerging to feed on the edge of the channels and pool within the reedbed. They may venture out onto exposed mud when the water drops in late summer and autumn or onto ice in winter.
Each season brings a different experience at our nature reserves. In spring, the air is filled with birdsong as they compete to establish territories and attract a mate. In summer, look out for young birds making their first venture into the outside world. Autumn brings large movements of migrating birds - some heading south to a warmer climate, others seeking refuge in the UK from the cold Arctic winter. In winter, look out for large flocks of birds gathering to feed, or flying at dusk to form large roosts to keep warm.
Spring
Booming bitterns in the reedbeds, best heard from the Causeway. Marsh harriers displaying high above the reedbeds. Butterflies along the reserve trails. The arrival of summer-visiting birds fills the reedbed with the rattling calls of sedge and reed warblers. Birdsong can be enjoyed in the woodland. Buzzards can be seen daily flying over the reserve. On the Allen and Eric Morecambe pools, large flocks of migrant black-tailed godwits stop off on their way to Iceland and the first avocets return to nest.
Summer
The special sight of marsh harriers passing food to each other in flight. Red deer grazing the Jackson and Griesdale meres in the evenings. The sight and sound of a busy black-headed gull colony. A chance to see young bitterns venturing out into the edges of the pools to feed, as well as a variety of young waterbirds. A succession of marsh flowers along the reserve tracks. Avocets and their chicks on the Allen and Eric Morecambe pools.
Autumn
Parties of bearded tits flying across the reeds and picking up grit from the paths. Huge flocks of starlings wheeling above the reedbed before pouring into the reeds to roost. Migrant wading birds, especially greenshanks, ruffs and returning black-tailed godwits on the pools viewed from the Allen and Eric Morecambe hides.
Winter
Teals, shovelers and gadwalls join the resident ducks to congregate in large numbers in the pools. Bitterns and water rails can be seen out on the ice during cold spells. Flocks of siskins feed in the alders. Flocks of wigeons and greylag geese graze the saltmarsh at the Allen and Eric Morecambe pools, and are regularly disturbed by wintering peregrines and merlins.
Viewing points
Seven hides with the nearest hide to visitor centre only 160 yards (150 m) away.

Titian -
Allegory of Time governed by Prudence [~1550]
London NG
wikipedia
Here you will find an exhaustive article on possible interpretions:
www.artinsociety.com/titian-prudence-and-the-three-headed...
********************************************************************************
Connected to Titian's late portraits is the Allegory of Time governed by Prudence. This is an exceptional portrait which depicts the aged Titian on the left above a wolf's head, his son Orazio in the centre above the head of a lion, and his nephew Marco above a dog's head. The wolf, the lion and the dog, symbolize the past, present and future. In the upper part of the painting there is an inscription which is the key to the complex allegorical meaning of the work: "EX PRAETERITO PRAESENS PRUDENTER AGIT, NI FUTURUM ACTIONE DETURPET" ("From the (experience of the) past, the present acts prudently, lest it spoil future action").
Though it was common enough during the Renaissance to use three human heads to symbolize the ages of man, and to use three animal heads to symbolize prudence, it was very unusual to use them as the theme of a painting. As Titian used personal motifs, it can be assumed that he chose the subject matter himself.
ttps://www.wga.hu/frames-e.html?/html/t/tiziano/10/3/5allegor.html
*******************************************************************************
The Allegory of Prudence (c. 1550–1565) is an oil-on-canvas painting attributed to the Italian artist Titian and his assistants. The painting portrays three human heads, each facing in a different direction, above three animal heads (from left to right, a wolf, a lion and a dog). It is in the National Gallery, London.[1]
The painting is usually interpreted as operating on a number of levels.[2][3] At the first level, the different ages of the three human heads represent the three ages of man (from left to right: old age, maturity and youth), a subject that Titian had depicted 50 years earlier in his The Three Ages of Man. The different directions in which they are facing reflect a second, wider concept of time itself as having a past, present and future. This theme is repeated in the animal heads: an animal with three heads (wolf, lion, dog) to represent the passage of time (past, present, future) is associated with Serapis in Macrobius's Saturnalia, and associated with Apollo by Petrarch, and the iconography is repeated for example in the Hypnerotomachia Poliphili of Francesco Colonna (1499), the Hieroglyphica of Pierio Valeriano (1556), and the Iconologia of Cesare Ripa (1643). The third level, from which the painting has acquired its present name, is suggested by a barely visible inscription above the portraits: EX PRÆTE/RITO // PRÆSENS PRVDEN/TER AGIT // NI FVTVRA / ACTIONĒ DE/TVRPET (Latin for "from the experience of the past, the present acts prudently, lest it spoil future actions".)
It has been argued that the human faces are actual portraits of the aged Titian, his son Orazio, and his young nephew, Marco Vecellio, who, like Orazio, lived and worked with Titian.[4] Erwin Panofsky, in his classic exposition, suggests that the painting is specifically associated with the negotiations associated with the passing on of Titian's property to the younger generations, in the light of his approaching death. The painting therefore acts as a visual counsel to the three generations to act prudently in the administration of the inheritance. Nicholas Penny is, however, highly sceptical of this, and points out discrepancies between the human heads and other evidence of the individuals' appearance. He doubts it was a personal project of any sort and feels that is "surely more likely that the painting was commissioned".[5] Others are also of the opinion that the three heads are not Titian and his family. One reason is that there are no portraits of Orazio or Marco, so confirmation that they are the figures is difficult.[6]
More recently the painting has been explained in quite different ways. Instead of an allegory of prudence, it has been seen as an allegory about sin and penitence. On this view, it amounts to an admission by Titian that his failure to act prudently in his youth and middle age has condemned him to lead a regretful old age.[7]
At the other extreme, the painting has been explained as asserting that the prudence which comes with experience and old age is an essential aspect of artistic discrimination and judgement. On this interpretation, the painting therefore acts as a rebuttal of the view that old age is the enemy of artistic achievement. On a more general level, the painting's depiction of Titian with his assistants Orazio and Marco is also intended as a defence of the prudence of the continuity of the Venetian workshop tradition.[8]

Exhibition overview
The main character of this work is a photo of your family.
You can replace the photos in all three works you created.
Once the exhibition is over, if someone receives these works,
please replace them with a photo of their own family.
I feel grateful that I was able to continue exhibiting until today.
I am deeply grateful to the many people who visited the exhibition
and to all the photography enthusiasts around the world.
Thank you for sticking with me for a long time.
