How deep;
Measurements made on previous dives showed the west vent as deep 82 feet (137 feet overall) and the east vent at 40 feet (95 feet overall). Mylne’s Court was once a fashionable address at which resided judges, nobles and dignitaries. Build in 1690, it was the first development of its type in Edinburgh. With its spacious open courtyard, it was a healthier place to stay than the narrow ill-vented places, or closes, of which most people had to live. Robert Milne, Master Mason to the Crown of Scotland (1633-1710).

The Wesleyan and Primitive Methodists and Church Army all used 'Gospel cars' in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Within Methodism, horsedrawn wagons were partly replaced by hand-pushed 'trek carts' in the inter-war years, and finally by deaconess' caravans in the 1950s. Gospel Cars were used for ministry in markets, fairgrounds, at overnight moorings for barge and boat people, and to traveller camps, and to reach rural locations.
This faithful reproduction of Car No 11 was built in 2011, and is currently housed on the Boat Dock at the Black Country Living Museum. This serves to link it within the museum campus with one of the historically marginalized groups - the boat and barge people - to whom the Gospel Car missioners were reaching out. The inside of the Gospel Car can be viewed from the front platform even when no-one is specifically on duty, so visitors can see for themselves how the Gospel Car operated. It was a little home on wheels - what are seats during the day were beds at night. It was a little church on wheels - the bigger audience would be addressed from the platform while the smaller audience would be invited inside. It was a little audio-visual centre - see the organ and the pictures hanging from the wall. What you may not see, because they are stored out of sight, are the gramophone, the percussion band instruments and the magic lantern. It sounds wonderful, but with walls of just a single plank thick it would certainly be very very cold on many a winter night.

Since the year 2000, the UK has lost over 15,000 pubs, that’s a lot of goodbyes. That’s a huge number, and it really shows how tough it’s been for the pub industry over the last couple of decades.
Right now, over 34 pubs are shutting down every month on average – the biggest drop since 2021, when Covid lockdowns and rising energy bills hit the whole hospitality sector hard.
So what’s going on? Are people just not as into going out for a drink any more? Or is it more about folks not being able to afford it? Pubs are doing everything they can to keep people coming in – food, live sport, pool tables, outdoor seating, you name it. But maybe even with a packed house, the costs – rent, mortgages, staff wages – are just too much to handle.
Pubs serve a purpose far deeper than just serving drinks. Especially in small villages, they become a kind of informal town hall — a place where stories are shared, problems aired, and community ties strengthened. Names like The Red Lion, The King’s Arms, or The Three Horseshoes tie locals to their past. They’re often steeped in the same stories and folklore that shape the village or town itself.
In short: it’s not just the drink, and not just the crowd — it’s the human need to belong, to be seen, to share space and story. That’s why pubs matter.
This album shows 35 pubs still open in Wakefield, plus a couple that have recently shut their doors for good and said the final words “Last orders please” I’ve done my best to show each one in a good light – because they all matter, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

An amazing waterfall near near Adimaly. Even in summer season also there will water. One of the main tourist attraction which you can see simply from roadside. The morning-time is the best to visit this place.

A simple yet versatile Shure stereo audio mixer, still in production over 25 years since its introduction. This mixer accommodates two microphones and three stereo sources, plus a feature set designed for ease of use.
At work, I put this model of mixer and a stereo amplifier in a road case as part of a simple sound system that could easily accommodate a microphone and, say, a CD player (this was about 25 years ago, for a service we discontinued during the pandemic). One useful feature I turned on reduced the stereo input levels whenever the microphone was used, reducing the number of knobs to turn before and after using the mike from up to four down to just one, or even eliminating the need altogether if the mike had an on/off switch built in.
For size reference, the center of each knob is spaced one inch (25.4mm) apart from each other.
The UP-Site tower was developed by Atenor and inaugurated in 2014. It is the tallest residential tower in Belgium with 140 m height, 42 floors and 251 apartments, all with balconies.
It is unpopular in the Brusilia which previously held the title of tallest residential tower in Belgium.

Since the year 2000, the UK has lost over 15,000 pubs, that’s a lot of goodbyes. That’s a huge number, and it really shows how tough it’s been for the pub industry over the last couple of decades.
Right now, over 34 pubs are shutting down every month on average – the biggest drop since 2021, when Covid lockdowns and rising energy bills hit the whole hospitality sector hard.
So what’s going on? Are people just not as into going out for a drink any more? Or is it more about folks not being able to afford it? Pubs are doing everything they can to keep people coming in – food, live sport, pool tables, outdoor seating, you name it. But maybe even with a packed house, the costs – rent, mortgages, staff wages – are just too much to handle.
Pubs serve a purpose far deeper than just serving drinks. Especially in small villages, they become a kind of informal town hall — a place where stories are shared, problems aired, and community ties strengthened. Names like The Red Lion, The King’s Arms, or The Three Horseshoes tie locals to their past. They’re often steeped in the same stories and folklore that shape the village or town itself.
In short: it’s not just the drink, and not just the crowd — it’s the human need to belong, to be seen, to share space and story. That’s why pubs matter.
This album shows 35 pubs still open in Wakefield, plus a couple that have recently shut their doors for good and said the final words “Last orders please” I’ve done my best to show each one in a good light – because they all matter, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
