ICP = In camera Process!!
Doing a test which is, using D90's in camera NEF processing VS a Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop Cs3.
Both merely direct conversion. With any sharpening. But during in camera process, I had set it to vivid mode. While Cs3, just merely raw conversion to jpeg.
Adobe Camera Raw 3.0 is capable of a whopping +/- FOUR stops of exposure compensation.
While the images are noisy, the amount of detail that can be extracted from otherwise worthless ruined shots is astonishing.
This is a side by side comparison of the original and a repaired +4 stop exposure adjustment.
