Heswall is a small town on the Wirral that has access to the shores of the River Dee. The above is the mud flats of the River Dee with a footpath walk that goes through to Parkgate. At this point, there is only an excellent restaurant called Sheldrakes and an old boatyard that is very fascinating for the diners at the restaurant.
The Library held a series of staff development sessions for Access Services at the new Library Administrative Center which included healthy and productive conversations about challenged books, the freedom to read, and self-care strategies to manage workplace stresses. Staff also had an opportunity to ask Library leadership any questions that were on their mind. Light refreshments, lunch, and activities were provided throughout the day.

The Autumn Equinox or Harvest Home is also called Mabon, pronounced 'MAY-bon', after the Welsh god Mabon ap Modron, which means literally 'son of mother'.
Mabon appears in 'The Mabinogion' tale. The Druids call this celebration, Mea'n Fo'mhair, and honour The Green Man, the God of the Forest, by offering libations to the trees. The Welsh know this time as 'Alban Elfed', meaning 'light of autumn'.
