So what to post next? I'll continue to post chronologically. Here some shots taken from the car (through the front window) on the highway (I was not driving) of this angry cloud formation ( it was a big storm going on there and the it was sunny sunset at the opposite side therefore the colors - did accentuate a bit in sturation but just slightly and those colors where that amazing. We were travelling southward on the highway but the storm too and it was faster obviously. I remember on the news this one caused a lot of problems in the Campagna region.) touched by sunset light.

Romagnano al Monte is a ghost town with a bleak melancholy. Time remained crystallized on November 23, 1980, the date of the devastating earthquake that struck like a merciless ax on Southern Italy. At the entrance of the town there are buildings with modern architecture, built in the seventies, which clash with the ancient houses of the village. This helps to accentuate the estrangement effect, amplifying the echo of uneasiness. Several buildings have collapsed or crumbling, but it is still possible to find faint traces of the life of the past: kitchens furnished with chairs and tables, old newspaper clippings, rusty cans. The visit to the Church of the Madonna del Rosario, dating back to the 17th century, is impressive and moving to say the least. The building is striking for its magnetic beauty that contrasts with the surrounding desolation, made of rubble and collapsed beams.

This blue hour photograph was taken from One Fullerton looking across Fullerton Bay. The floating Fullerton Pavilion (on the left of the photograph) is moored near Clifford Pier (the iconic landmark that used to serve as a landing point for immigrants and other passengers arriving in Singapore by sea). The distinctive Clifford Pier, with its structure and tower top, and newer high-rise buildings in Singapore’s Central Business District could be seen in the background. The clouds above the Bay accentuated the overall urban scape.
Best wishes for a relaxing Sunday.
Many of the grass florets were still iced, but in places, where the sun had reached them, the ice crystals had thawed. This is Deschampsia cespitosa grass and it has elegant lolloping heads, accentuated when they are wet like this.
this week's MM theme: The Space in Between
I posted the original version below three years ago when the MM theme was fibers/textiles. I think the space in between is more accentuated using the color invert.
I could see the colony out in the lake in Louisiana, but they were too far away to make and image. Then after an hour wait, this one flew by. The sun hit it just right to accentuate its pinkish-rose color!

The Cemetery of the Skull is an ancient cemetery just outside a large Belgian city. The stone skull lying in the shade of 200-year-old beech trees is over 150 years old. The tombstone marks the resting place of a merchant and his wife. Green moss covers the tombstone, accentuating the hollow eye sockets and haunted grimace.
The lush date farm boasts an array of green hues, accentuated by the beauty of sunlight streaming through its leaves.
Experimenting with an editing feature that I rarely use: Tint. Take a pic, convert it to Sepia, give the saturation a boost and then accentuate with an orange-brownish tint ..
The bright red color of a country barn is accentuated by late afternoon sunrays that make this scene glow with color and light.
The morning sun glistens on the flowers, covered in a delicate blanket of dewdrops. The scene is mesmerizing and breathtaking, a symbol of the new day dawning. The dewdrops are like little jewels shining on the petals, like precious pearls that accentuate the beauty of the flowers.
The dewdrops are like little works of art in themselves, with their perfectly round shapes sparkling in the soft morning light. They seem to have descended on the flowers like magic, like a gift from nature to welcome the day. The flowers seem to awaken from their nightly slumber and bask in the fresh morning dew, as if to say, "Good morning world, here we are again!"

This beautiful Clematis is a delight to photograph:-) I named it bell clematis. I have not seen anything like this until this summer. WOW!
This Clematis features large nodding bells with a slight recurve, accentuated by shading along the edges of the sepals. When summer comes, hundreds of these beautifully shaded bells cover the plant, giving a punch of bluish–purple color to the border. Roguchi is a non–vining Clematis that plays well with shrubs, or let it weave in and out of your perennial plantings. You can prop it as they do in England with willow branches, or let it spill over the sides of a retaining wall. Clematis integrifolia 'Roguchi'
When you find yourself you often find other people that accentuate your life, and not break it down.
I am blessed today... and look forward to tomorrow.

When the day that lies ahead of me
Seems impossible to face
When someone else instead of me
Always seems to know the way
Then I look at you
And the world's alright with me
Just one look at you
And I know it's gonna be
A lovely day

Another photo I edited recently before putting it in one of my Blurb books.
I visited this place for a second time this weekend on a whim to see how it would look under extremely overcast conditions. It was very dark down in the ravine this time, with no sunlight peeking in through the trees at all. The whole area was wetter this time, and I think it was just overall better conditions than the first time I shot there. This is a 3 shot focus-stacked pano. I used much less cross-polarization this time to accentuate the wetness, and processed it with more moody darks. I love the drive out to the Mt Hood wilderness from Bend so even though I only spent about an hour at my destination I felt really good about the whole adventure.

forgive me for deleting group comment codes, they're not my thing but I do appreciate the visit!
I was enjoying an early morning in the vineyards of southern Styria in Austria, watching the mist slowly lifting from the valley. As the sun started to rise, mother nature presented me with the most beautiful colours and atmosphere accentuating the autumnal feel.
I finally made it to Beede Falls in Sandwich, NH. It's an awesome location, all worth the bumpy dirt road getting there! Here I did a long exposure that accentuates the autumn vibe.

You always see them in the movies. They are pretty and accentuate the actor. What they really do is keep the sun off you face and neck.
So desperately wanted to get a good Autumn shot at the back end of last year; I walked for miles until I came across this set of abandoned rail tracks. I was caught by the contrast of wooden struts and then the metal tracks but also, which fortuitously was between a tree line and a steel girder construct on the other. This really helped by a stroke of luck to accentuate the ideal of the image. Sometimes you're lucky enough to strike gold.
Hope everyone is well and so as always, thank you! :)

This piece, made of brass and glass (the red piece in the middle is made to look like a gemstone, but is glass), dates to the 1830s-1840s, and was worn to accentuate to hairstyles of the time - when women always, well almost always at least, kept their hair long and as an adult had it pinned up in intricate fashions. The label in the museum didn't clarify, but I think it is a Swedish piece.

Hello Everyone!
I loved the pastel tones of this one. Very little editing was done in Photohop Elements 15 using Colour Curves to accentuate the whites.
Thank you for looking and your comments. I do LOVE hearing from you! Enjoy your day!

Still the Autumn colours may have been later arriving this year but they were certainly worth waiting for. There's no name on Google Maps for this wood but it can be reached at the end of 'Bell Lane', near Altham, Lancashire.
Once again I was spoilt for choice. The colours are magnificent. The clearing in the wood, accentuated by a beautiful blue sky was irresistible.
Edited to accentuate the curves
The cloister stood at the centre of the precinct, where it was sheltered from noise and disruption. It was made up of a large central area, known as the cloister garth, and surrounded by arcading fashioned from black Nidderdale marble and white sandstone. Part of this arcading was reconstructed in the nineteenth century and indicates just how spectacular the cloister would have looked in the Middle Ages. The cloister at Fountains covered about thirty-eight square metres. All the buildings necessary for monastic life could be accessed from the cloister, but entry was restricted. The monks observed silence here, which meant that the cloister was well suited to meditation and prayer.
This is the time of transition from winter to spring - bleak, sodden and misty - accentuating our hope for spring.
"Thick February mists cling heavily
To the dead earth and to each leafless tree,
And closer down upon the hilltops draw,
Dull forecasts there of bright,
sure-coming spring ...

Flash back to another aerial image of waters' fingerprint on the landscape - the snow helps accentuate the patterns nicely.
A captive animal photographed a few years ago. I've previously posted another version of this image but have processed this to accentuate the steely stare.
Derwent Moors, Derbyshire. Some experimentation in post-processing to accentuate the shadows and highlights.
These little flowers are perhaps 5mm in length and it takes hundreds of them to make up an entire Star of Persia flower head. Using extension tubes allows the camera to get in close and accentuates the lovely bokeh that the old Takumar lens is so good at.

It was a beautiful autumn day as Marg, Kenzie the pup, and I hiked the discovery trail. Just beautiful enough to haul out the gear and make a little photo painting, capturing the light and colors that accentuated the landscape. It felt good to be snapping photos again--it's been awhile.

A bit of fresh snow accentuated the already interesting shape of these snags on the shore of Keyser-Brown Lake in Montana’s Beartooth mountains. The wind was really howling when I took this image, so I used a long exposure to smooth out the water a bit…I would like to have stayed longer to capture a few more images, but frankly it was just too dang cold to hang around!
With 156 years of history and legendary tales of ghosts and spirits that only accentuate the natural energy of the property, Beardslee Castle is a perfect setting for any event.
Built by Augustus Beardslee in 1860 with the craftmanship of masons from Ireland and Switzerland, the limestone building is modelled in the style of an Irish castle. The building has suffered two major fires, the first in 1919 nearly destroyed the building and much of the stonework needed to be reworked. The oak panelled floors and ceilings were completely redone as nothing was left but the stone shell. A fire in 1989 gutted the kitchen areas and the building was left vacant for 3 years. After a two year restoration the restaurant reopend in 1994 under the present ownership. 247
As fall replaces summer, the greens of the wetlands are slowly replaced by golden browns, which are accentuated by the early morning rising sun. In the deep shadows, the greens along the water's edge are still present, mirrored in the calm creek waters, which are mirroring the blue sky and faint clouds overhead. Soon these subtle colors will be gone, replaced by the cold harsh winter colors. Enjoy every minute while it lasts....

Morning mist and clouds accentuate another sunny day aboard the Mein Schiff 4 cruising off the Italian coast in the Mediterranean Sea. A few passengers have claimed their spot on the deck recliners while others keep on enjoying a leisurely breakfast in the dining room below. Plexiglass panels in the deck railings add some colorful reflections. Deck 14 is actually the 13th deck. They just don't use that number. [SNY08623_lr_2000]

Fiordland on New Zealands south island is extremely wet with 5 - 9 metres of rainfall/year. This results in a temperate rain forest many of are beech trees. They come in an astonishingly wide form and variety. Many are old and gnarled and therefore were a perfect choice for the movie of the Lord of the Rings. The weather in this image is very unusual accentuating the colour of the young leaves and the water. In fact the colours were so strong I have actually reduced the saturation of green and yellow in this image.

I was disappointed that the day I got to visit Dartmoor National Park in Devon, UK was filled with mist and low visibility. But actually, the mist only accentuated the magical bleakness of the landscape.
