The word popped into my head as soon as I saw this beech waving its arms about. I then had the Steve Miller Band earworm in my head for the rest of the session. Taken in Barnes's Grove, Buckinghamshire.
Did you know Abracadabra has been around since the second century AD and also is one of a small number of words that can be typed using only the left side of a QUERTY keyboard! Who'd have known :)
This is 'Abracadabra'.
A hybrid tea-rose.
It's magic.
My mother loved this rose.
So it's a magic memory for Norma, who I miss, a lot.

Siiiiii este epiphyllum stricum...var.hookerii, es producto de encantamiento y magia ..no se puede creer lo bello que es ...Tomé la imagen con mi mano detrás para que podáis apreciar el tamaño de las flores y la forma en que "cuelgan" de las " hojas ",que según los botánicos son tallos en realidad... Siempre que veía esta flor en internet me parecía obra de una varita mágica y ahora que la tengo en casa lo confirmo en cada floración!!

In my view, one of the best, most exotic, variegated roses in the world, along with 'Candy Stripe' and 'Double Delight'. I discovered this one in a garden along Pretoria Parade at Hornsby, in northern Sydney, during one of my marathon walks from Cherrybrook to Hornsby Westfield.

'Abracadabra'.
A dark crimson hybrid tea-rose.
This one, rather strangely, without the variegation that is characteristic of 'Abracadabra'.
However, upon researching this rose, I discovered that the lack of variegation is not that uncommon.
