Places to visit in North Las Vegas: Broadacres Marketplace which combines spontaneous fun of a swap meet with established stalls. We are fans of the friendly vibe, live music and good food and drink. Open Fri-Sun planeta.com/broadacres-marketplace
Took the subway away from the center of town to get out of the touristy bits, and enter "the real Hong Kong". There we went to a local marketplace,where they sold all sorts of weird stuff. Oh, and since people don't have fridges, the animals were alive at the time of purchase.

Minuteman opened in August 2017; it was originally Shutters & Décor, which opened in September 2002 and relocated here on March 1st, 2008. It became a Liberty Income Tax in winter 2009, which closed in 2014.
Little Caesars opened in July 2014; it was originally Jeff's Flowers, which opened in May 2002. It became Philly Pretzel Factory in May 2008, which closed in May 2013.

everbowl opened on December 11th, 2023; it was originally Jon's Hair Salon, which opened in November 2001 and relocated here in July 2011. It became Colonial Barber & Beauty on January 3rd, 2012 (originally located here), which closed on April 22nd, 2022 and relocated here.

marketPlace, 2009, sound and scent installation, The Market Arcade, Buffalo, N.Y. (in collaboration with Stefani Bardin)
The Market Arcade building in Buffalo, N.Y. was once a part of “The Belly of Buffalo”, know for some of the greatest open markets in the country. As with many cities, the fall of community-based gathering places has left this once vibrant center now nearly abandoned. The sounds and smells from the still-vibrant Jean Talon Market in Montreal were artificially infused back into this forgotten space as a means for reconsidering the role of community interactions in contemporary culture.
Audio speakers transmitted sound recorded from the Jean Talon market into corresponding locations in the Arcade building in Buffalo. The smells of the market were chemically reproduced in collaboration with a perfumer and then dispersed via automated scent diffusers onto their corresponding locations as well. As the visitors move along the passageway they are met with the sounds and smells of an active market, which are immediately betrayed by the desolate space in which they exist— exposing both the illusion and the lack of intimate community experience.

Greg Garrett Realty opened in spring 2018 and was originally located at 3705 Strawberry Plains Road; it was previously a MediFast Weight Control Center, which opened in September 2012 and closed in 2015.
Duck Donuts opened on October 4th, 2013; it was originally a Starbucks, which opened in December 2001 and relocated here on February 22nd, 2013.
