My first Belina's Dream Rose of the year. Only my Roses, Jasmin and Honeysuckle survived the Winter frosts.
Inaugurada en 1906, la moderna Estación de Socorro a Náufragos de Esposende sustituyó a la antigua «casa de los salva vidas», un barracón de madera que, desde 1876, albergaba la embarcación que se utilizaba para ayudar a la comunidad pesquera y comercial en caso de naufragio.
Hasta los años 70 , el barco salvavidas de esta Estación de Resgate Maritimo y sus heroicas tripulaciones marcaron la diferencia entre la vida y la muerte en el mar de Esposende.
El edificio fue totalmente recuperado por la Asociación Fórum Esposendense y se instaló allí el Museo Marítimo, que abrió sus puertas en 2012.

Belinda's Dream Rose is dreaming again. We all need to dream a little to escape the harshness of the world's reality. These roses are 5" in diameter, and I have so many buds. I am still amazed that I've been able to grow such beautiful flowers.
I love the oversized beaks on these guys. This one's markings look a bit unusual. Their aerial breeding displays are dramatic and high energy.
Tango. That's the music, and the dance, which enchanted Al Pacino, at the time he was blind, in the movie Scent of a Woman. His name was Frank, he still had feelings so Frank danced, and enchanted everyone when he took the beautiful and unknown young woman to dance. Everyone fell silent in that large room, while Frank, the retired military man, who whirled in a poetic cadence, provoking sighs and pure enchantment around the four corners of the hall. And not just from the hall where he danced, but from all the movie theaters where that magnificent moment was immortalized.
Well Frank, whatever your name is, throw away that stupid weapon you carry in your heart. Let's all dance for peace. Open your eyes, Frank. Let's dance that amazing dream.

“Nature’s Goddess”
The lace like feathers of the Great Heron during breeding season is one of Mother Nature’s most dramatic scenes in the avian world.
Burchell’s Coucal (Whitebrowned Coucal) is so beautiful, shy and yet such a beast when it comes to it’s eating habits.
This bird has a chestnut-brown back and similar wing feathers, a long tail with marked bands in its upper parts. They eat any prey smaller than itself (size ± 40 cm long & ±180 grams). It has a particular liking for young nestlings and the eggs of other birds. It will seek out and eat off the nest whatever it can find, and for this reason I call it a beast.

Der Campus Wilhelminenhof befindet sich in Oberschöneweide im Bezirk Treptow-Köpenick im Südosten Berlins. Das geschichtsträchtige, direkt an der Spree gelegene, ehemalige Industrieareal hat sich in einen modernen Wissenschaftsstandort verwandelt. Die imposanten Gebäude wurden behutsam saniert und um Neubauten ergänzt. 2006 wurde das erste Gebäude durch die HTW Berlin bezogen.

's-Heerenberg is a Dutch city in the province of Gelderland. 's-Heerenberg obtained city rights from Willem I van den Bergh on September 8, 1379. In the nineteenth century, 's-Heerenberg was an independent municipality for many years, until January 1, 1821. But this riverfront is also home to some very unique sculptures, such as this one titled ‘Eve’s Apple’.

It's kinda hard to see the bench but it's there. Surprisingly, because it's in a small town in the middle of no where, this place was kind of expensive and the people weren't that friendly.
We did have a wet Sunday here, and it looks like it's going to be a wet week..:( Anyway, hope your week goes well
The upwelling of a lava flow created these plates called "dragon's teeth" all along the north rim of the peninsula at Makaluapuna Point, Maui, Hawaii. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz filters.
Dragon’s Teeth was formed as a result of one of the last lava flows from West Maui Volcano thousands of years ago. The lava flow met the intense ocean waves and strong sea winds causing it to jut upwards, cool, and harden, creating the jagged black rock appearance.

Dining on a Gamble's quail by my kitchen door. He plucked the quail, ate 1/3 of him and left the carcass on my favorite chair. I cleaned up the mess not realizing he would return the next morning for breakfast. I'll know better next time.

Anna’s Hummingbirds are mostly green and gray, without any rufous or orange marks on the body. The male's head and throat are covered in iridescent reddish-pink feathers that can look dull brown or gray without direct sunlight.
Anna’s Hummingbirds are a blur of motion as they hover before flowers looking for nectar and insects. Listen for the male's scratchy metallic song and look for him perched above head level in trees and shrubs.
Anna’s Hummingbirds are common in yards, parks, residential streets, eucalyptus groves, riverside woods, savannahs, and coastal scrub. They readily come to hummingbird feeders and flowering plants, including cultivated species in gardens.
