I will trust in You and know that You are with me forever
I'll confide in You 'cause You're the only answer that matters
Even in the darkness, You will be my light
Even when I'm hopeless, You will be my guide
I will not be shaken, I will not be moved
Even in the chaos, I know that You're good
You're the keeper, protector
It is You that holds us together
When everything else fails us
It is You that holds us together
Oh-whoa-whoa, oh-whoa-oh
I will trust in You, Your thoughts and plans of me, they are good
Mmh, I'll wait on You, I know that You will see me through
Even in the darkness, You will be my light
Even when I'm hopeless, You will be my guide
I will not be shaken, I will not be moved
Even in the chaos, I know that You're good
You're the keeper, protector
It is You that holds us together
When everything else fails us
It is You that holds us together (oh You're)
You're the keeper (You are), protector
It is You that holds us together (when every)
When everything (else fails) else fails us (it is You)
It is You that holds us together
Together
Holds us together
You're the keeper, protector (together)
It is You that holds us together
Everything (else fails us) else fails us
It's You that holds us together (hold us)
You're the keeper (hold us), protector (oh, protector)
It's You that holds us together (oh, You)
When everything (everything) else fails us
It's You that holds us together
You're the keeper, protector
It is You that holds us together
When everything else fails us
It is You that holds us together.
Song by:H.E.R. - Hold Us Together'
We live in a formative time, with fewer and fewer survivors who can tell us what happened, which calls for intensified efforts to commemorate the Holocaust. Deniers should never be allowed to falsify the history of the worst crime against humanity.

For me, the event of November 9, 1989 is still almost unbelievable.
Personally, I thought it was impossible that one day the GDR would no longer exist.
Somehow, fortunately, not only unexpected bad things happen, like wars, but even a wall can fall peacefully!
Happy Thursday everyone.
Got down to the beach after work today to watch the storm rolling in.
It was an amazing feeling, it was muggy and quite hot sitting down by the water and literally over a split second the temperature just dropped by about 3/4 degrees (Celsius) and then i ran to the car :)

20th anniversary celebrations
On November 9, 2009, Berlin will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall with a "Festival of Freedom", during which over 1,000 foam domino tiles over 8 feet tall will be stacked along the former route of the wall in the city center and toppled.
In the United States, the German Embassy is coordinating a public diplomacy campaign with the motto "Freedom Without Walls" to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The campaign is focused on promoting awareness of the fall of the Berlin Wall among current college students, and students at over 20 universities will participate in "Freedom Without Walls" events in late 2009.

The Reichstag building in Berlin was constructed to house the Reichstag, parliament of the German Empire. It was opened in 1894 and housed the Reichstag until 1933, when it was severely damaged in a fire supposedly set by Dutch communist Marinus van der Lubbe, who was later beheaded for the crime. That verdict has been a subject of controversy over the years. The National Socialist Party (NSDAP) used this event as a casus belli to begin a purge of opponents of the Nazi Party in Berlin and to ban the Communist Party of Germany. Marinus van der Lubbe was officially pardoned by the German state in January 2008, 75 years after his conviction and execution. In 1967 a Berlin court had symbolically changed the sentence of van der Lubbe to an eight-year prison term and in 1980 the same court had lifted the sentence altogether. In 1981 a West German court overturned the conviction of van der Lubbe on the grounds that he was insane, however campaigners pressed for full state pardon on account of van der Lubbe having been convicted by a Nazi court. The full state pardon of van der Lubbe was made possible by a law passed in Germany in 1998. This exoneration is symbolic and will not lead to compensation for van der Lubbe's heirs.
