I thought I would post more selfportraits this year. Maybe it's because of the winter that I'm not in the mood to take much more photographs. I would like to take more outdoor shots, but I think Spring would be a better time for that because of the colours. I don't like the grey of the Winter... I'm looking for some good places for taking photographs. I found this wall in the near of my apartment. So this picture has a real ghetto style, lol...
I want to give you a update of my last days. Sindy and me were out with some friends last Friday. We discovered a cute little bar. It's a bar where you can play board games. They have hundreds of board games on the walls. I think this is a really cool concept... We had much fun and I think this bar is on our favorite list now :) Unfortunately I forgot my camera, but I promise I will take some photos when we will go there again...
Yesterday we were at our little cinema and we watched "The kids are all right". I like this movie...

This is an image for an art print and a greeting card.
I will be selling these at art shows and on the internet to help finance my AZ Beetle Book
McDonnell Douglas DC-9 I-DIKP of Aero Transporti Italiani at Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport in Spring 1981. Note the Italian Air Force Fiat G.222s in the background, on the military part of the airfield.
The Ulmerton Cinema 9 was opened by United Artists in 1986. Carmike eventually took over and it operated as a dollar theater before closing in 1999. It was most recently a truck dealership, which closed just after I realized that I should get a picture of this place. How convenient.
Still, thirteen years is a surprisingly short life span for such a large theater.

With summer just about over, thoughts turn to the fall deer season. Last year, I got my favorite portrait on a late afternoon in early October.

I walk past this store frequently and have on several occasions seen Ron standing in the doorway and said hello as I passed. I've always liked the "feel" of the store exterior - the bright red trim, arched doorways, etc. and with Ron leaning in the doorway as such I have several times thought to myself that it would make a great image.
After starting the 100 Strangers project I started looking for Ron. Tonight he was there and I introduced myself and the project. He agreed to the portrait, more readily, perhaps, because he didn't even need to move. Thanks, Ron!
This picture is #9 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
