This was built for Bricks Culture Magazine as part of my one year residency. My challenge was to create a portrait. For a full explanation for the build you will have to read the article but essentially I wanted to portray a sporting hero of mine (in motion) and who better than Usain Bolt, especially as the Olympics are just around the corner. The terracotta background was inspired by ancient Greek pottery creating another connection to the Olympics. I really hope you like this one as it is my favourite of my ‘in motion’ range.
I have used glue to create this photo however the build is possible without glue, it only needs a transparent piece supporting the groin.
I would love to hear your comments.

The 9/11 museum is full of poignancy and symbolism, the mast is from the top of one the towers. The tiles on the wall, almost 3000 of them, is the sky before the tragedy.
The other feature of the museum is that there is a large area showing the people involved in the disaster where photography is not allowed. Good, not everything in life has to be photographed.

The face in the shadows. Wonder who painted this face on the foundation of the old factory in town...and why? It's been there ever since I moved here in 2005.

Here's the overview of the little brick head series. Maybe I'll create some more based on Ghost in the Shell and other anime. What characters would you like to see?
♥ 9/28/2012 → ∞ ♥
Today is the day that we consider to be our anniversary.
Today (9/28/2015) we are together for 3 years (and will stay together for eternity), but this is the only picture taken from two of us right on the day.
This pic was taken on our first anniversary, which has become a 2-yrs-old memory today...
