E cominciò a cercare.
Oggi va così, per fortuna... :D
The Neil Howard stages are fast becoming an autumn tradition at Oulton with some very interesting entries to jog memories, and very enthusiastically driiven , with a great atmosphere when darkness descends over the Cheshire countryside and the cars' lights pierce the darkness.
A great day's motorsport, with myself and mrs snowman breaking off from the spectating to thoroughly enjoy ourselves driving a GT86 on Oulton's rally school stages, and the day was rounded off by a bonfire and an excellent fireworks display.
For those wishing to identify the cars the entry list for the rally can be found here www.rallies.info/res.php?e=196&o=p&t=999&r=e&... and the results here www.rallies.info/res.php?e=196&o=p&t=999&r=o&...

John and I were having a conversation about astral identity.
John was in a mood to start it off with a "No" and I with a "Yes." It's a seesaw game we play-though we prefer to think of it as a dialectic thinking process we developed between us, and that the seesaw will grow a propeller and start to float in the air, if we seesaw enough. So! We were ruminating on astral identity.
J: It's a bit uhh, you know.
Y: Right. But you know how an arbitrary .number-series starts to make a pattern and repeats itself in the end. Say if the universe is infinite sometime or other it may start to repeat itself.
Still, the idea of John from Liverpool and Yoko from Tokyo existing in another planet as well, having tea when we were having tea, that sort of thing, was a bit too much, John said, and his beautiful toes started to move up and down in bed.
Y: Maybe there's a timewarp and they'd be doing something we did last year, John. You're just offended. Men feel threatened when their uniqueness is questioned.
J: Not that. It just means that you believe in fatalism.
Y: Not necessarily. It only means that there are many, many universes. Infinite numbers of.
J: Infinity is just a man-made concept, it doesn't exist.
Y: Look, take numbers. Numbers are a concept, too. There's no such thing as number one, say. It's actually a number that is an infinite approximation to number one, that we call number one. Like 0.999999 ... to infinity but we build bridges and buildings on those infinitely approximate numbers not on definite ones. That means that we are always just at the verge of things, verge of being. That goes for buildings and ships and everything. John turned into an English teapot before my eyes, and I found myself drifting off to a cosmic nowhere by myself.
Y: If it works on a microcosmic world like numbers below one, why not out there, why not there in the universe? Universe is infinitely approximate. But that means that it's at least approximately infinite, right? So the concept of infinity is not just a romanticism, John. It is an approximately infinite universe.
I heard a tiny grunt and John saying he liked the sound of the words. Then suddenly we realized that this time we were both drifting out in a cosmos somewhere together, like God's two little dandruffs floating in the universe.
"Astral identity! Wow!" "Something else, right?" "Right!"
Later, we came down to Earth and went back to our weekly ceremony of washing our hair and helping each other dry it.

APRIL 2009 | ISSUE NO 043
This month:Peru and China sign FTA, Venezuelan opposition politician is granted
asylum, Monterrico Metals reveals it is to de-list from the London stock exchange
AIM, but first…
FUJIMORI CONVICTED
Former Peruvian president, Alberto Fujimori, has been found guilty of human
rights violations related to two massacres and the kidnapping of two people
during his time in office (1990-2001). The 70 year old was sentenced to 25
years in prison.
Peru''''''''''''''''s Supreme Court ruled that Fujimori bore individual criminal responsibility
as indirect author of the crimes in all three cases because he had effective
military command over those who committed the crimes.
The court heard the cases of Barrios Altos (in which 15 men, women and children
were killed), La Cantuta (in which 10 people were kidnapped and later killed)
and the kidnappings of journalist Gustavo Gorriti and the businessman Samuel
Dyer.
This is a landmark ruling in Latin America, where it is the first time a democratic
leader has been tried and convicted in his own country for crimes against humanity.
Amnesty International has signalled that the case also sets an international
precedent by showing that nobody is exempt from being held to account.
Fujimori''''''''''''''''s sentence is subject to appeal before the Supreme Court.
STEADY FINANCES…LITTLE POVERTY REDUCTION…GREATER SOCIAL PROTEST
Peru''''''''''''''''s economic growth will slow to 3% in 2009 as external demand weakens sharply,
according to the Economist Intelligence Unit''''''''''''''''s (EIU) 2009-2010 forecast. It
also predicts that the country is well-placed to mitigate the effects of the
global financial crisis, owing to sound public finances and international reserves.
The EIU predicts that growth will rise to 4% in 2010 once US demand starts
to recover, which should lead to renewed levels of exports.
However, on a more cautionary note, it states that “administrative inefficiencies
and political fragmentation” will weaken the government''''''''''''''''s capacity to mitigate
the impact of the downturn. This incapacity to implement poverty reduction
policies is likely to lead to an increase in social unrest.
Social Protests
Some 48% of social conflicts in Peru are linked to environmental concerns,
particularly regarding mining activities, according to the Peruvian Human Rights
Ombudsman''''''''''''''''s (Defensoría del Pueblo) March report. Regions with a high level
of conflict include Loreto, in the Amazon jungle, as well as Cusco, Lima and
Piura.
The study also shows that during March, 23 new social conflicts flared up,
making the total number of active conflicts 179.
On a more positive note, there is an ongoing process of dialogue surrounding
69 conflicts and three have been resolved. For example, members of campesino
community Chiquintirca, in Ayacucho, would not let the company TGP (Transportadora
de Gas del Peru) operate in the community as it was not going to create jobs.
The company has now created 22 jobs for community members and this has resolved
the conflict.
SOLDIERS DIE IN SHINING PATH AMBUSH
Members of the Shining Path have killed 14 soldiers in two ambushes in Peru''''''''''''''''s
Ayacucho province, according to the country''''''''''''''''s defence minister, Antero Flores
Araoz. The ambushes, which took place in the town of Sanabamba in the coca-growing
region of the Ene and Apurimac valleys (VRAE), is not an isolated incident.
Last year, remnants of the Shining Path launched a series of fatal attacks
killing around 25 soldiers and police officers.
Shining Path, a Maoist-influenced guerrilla group, was a major force in Peru''''''''''''''''s
internal armed conflict from 1980-2000. Since then, their activities appeared
to have calmed, until a recent spate of attacks in the Ayacucho province.
In contrast to its ‘heyday'''''''''''''''' during the internal armed conflict, the group is
now thought to have around 300 members. However, it has bought more powerful
weapons with profits from drug trade activities. "We will fight militarily
those who defend imperialism and the government,” said Victor Quispe Palomino,
member of the Shining Path, which according to Peruvian police has forged allegiances
with poor towns that rely on coca planting for income.

MINING COMPANY DE-LISTS FROM UK STOCK MARKET
Monterrico Metals has stated that, subject to shareholder approval, it will
de-list from the UK small companies'''''''''''''''' stock market AIM by 3rd June 2009. Chinese
consortium Zijin Tongguan and Japanese-Korean consortium LS-Nikko Copper remain
the principal shareholders of the company, holding 79.9% and 10.0% of the company''''''''''''''''s
issued and paid-up share capital respectively.
The former British junior mining company operates the Río Blanco copper mining
project in Piura, Peru. Monterrico was recently embroiled in allegations of
the illegal detention and torture of anti-mining protestors in 2005 (Peru News
042).
TWO THIRDS OF PERU VULNERABLE TO CLIMATE CHANGE
The UK government is supporting the Office of Peru''''''''''''''''s Human Rights Ombudsman
(Defensoría del Pueblo) to oversee public policy that the Peruvian government
is developing on climate change. Ombudsman staff is being trained for the task
in coordination with the different public institutions working on the issue.
Two-thirds of Peruvian territory is said to be vulnerable to the effects of
climate change, according to the country''''''''''''''''s environment ministry. There will
be less water available in valleys that depend on diminishing glaciers. This
will have a significant impact on agriculture and hydroelectricity production.
Vulnerable zones include the poorest regions in Peru, such as Huancavelica,
Apurímac and Ayacucho, and consequently Peru''''''''''''''''s poorest people will be the worst
affected.
VENEZUELAN POLITICIAN GRANTED ASYLUM
Peru has granted political asylum to Venezuelan politician Manuel Rosales.
Rosales claims he is part of a witch hunt by President Hugo Chávez''''''''''''''''s government
against opposition politicians. Rosales ran against Chávez in the 2006 presidential
elections. He was elected mayor of Venezuela''''''''''''''''s second biggest city, Maracaibo,
last year but stepped down following accusations of amassing an unexplained
fortune dating back to his time as the governor of Zulia state.
Rosales was due to appear in court in Venezuela on 20th April to face corruption
charges. He failed to appear. He denies the charges and says that they are
politically motivated. One of his lawyers in Venezuela, Alvaro Castillo, claims
that his client left the country as "he wasn''''''''''''''''t going to have a fair or clean
or impartial trial".
Following Rosales'''''''''''''''' arrival in Peru, his lawyer Javier Valle-Riestra said that
they had submitted their asylum request to Peruvian authorities on 21st April
and expected a decision within two months. It took about a week.
Peru''''''''''''''''s Foreign Minister José García Belaúnde maintains the decision was in
line with the country''''''''''''''''s commitment to international law. In response to Peru''''''''''''''''s
actions, Venezuela has recalled its ambassador to Lima.
PERU & CHINA SIGN FTA
Peru and China have signed a Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The agreement was
finalised at a ceremony in Beijing on 28th April and was attended by Peru''''''''''''''''s
vice-president Luis Giampietri and Trade Minister Mercedes Araoz.

Peru''''s Supreme Court ruled that Fujimori bore individual criminal responsibility
as indirect author of the crimes in all three cases because he had effective
military command over those who committed the crimes.
Fujimori''''s sentence is subject to appeal before the Supreme Court.
STEADY FINANCES…LITTLE POVERTY REDUCTION…GREATER SOCIAL PROTEST
Peru''''s economic growth will slow to 3% in 2009 as external demand weakens sharply,
according to the Economist Intelligence Unit''''s (EIU) 2009-2010 forecast. It
also predicts that the country is well-placed to mitigate the effects of the
global financial crisis, owing to sound public finances and international reserves.
The EIU predicts that growth will rise to 4% in 2010 once US demand starts
to recover, which should lead to renewed levels of exports.
However, on a more cautionary note, it states that “administrative inefficiencies
and political fragmentation” will weaken the government''''s capacity to mitigate
the impact of the downturn. This incapacity to implement poverty reduction
policies is likely to lead to an increase in social unrest.
Social Protests
Some 48% of social conflicts in Peru are linked to environmental concerns,
particularly regarding mining activities, according to the Peruvian Human Rights
Ombudsman''''s (Defensoría del Pueblo) March report.
Members of the Shining Path have killed 14 soldiers in two ambushes in Peru''''s
Ayacucho province, according to the country''''s defence minister, Antero Flores
Araoz. The ambushes, which took place in the town of Sanabamba in the coca-growing
region of the Ene and Apurimac valleys (VRAE), is not an isolated incident.
Last year, remnants of the Shining Path launched a series of fatal attacks
killing around 25 soldiers and police officers.
Shining Path, a Maoist-influenced guerrilla group, was a major force in Peru''''s
internal armed conflict from 1980-2000. Since then, their activities appeared
to have calmed, until a recent spate of attacks in the Ayacucho province.
In contrast to its ‘heyday'''' during the internal armed conflict, the group is
now thought to have around 300 members.

Monterrico Metals has stated that, subject to shareholder approval, it will
de-list from the UK small companies'''' stock market AIM by 3rd June 2009. Chinese
consortium Zijin Tongguan and Japanese-Korean consortium LS-Nikko Copper remain
the principal shareholders of the company, holding 79.9% and 10.0% of the company''''s
issued and paid-up share capital respectively.
The UK government is supporting the Office of Peru''''s Human Rights Ombudsman
(Defensoría del Pueblo) to oversee public policy that the Peruvian government
is developing on climate change. Ombudsman staff is being trained for the task
in coordination with the different public institutions working on the issue.
Two-thirds of Peruvian territory is said to be vulnerable to the effects of
climate change, according to the country''''s environment ministry. There will
be less water available in valleys that depend on diminishing glaciers. This
will have a significant impact on agriculture and hydroelectricity production.
Vulnerable zones include the poorest regions in Peru, such as Huancavelica,
Apurímac and Ayacucho, and consequently Peru''''s poorest people will be the worst
affected.
VENEZUELAN POLITICIAN GRANTED ASYLUM
Peru has granted political asylum to Venezuelan politician Manuel Rosales.
Rosales claims he is part of a witch hunt by President Hugo Chávez''''s government
against opposition politicians. Rosales ran against Chávez in the 2006 presidential
elections. He was elected mayor of Venezuela''''s second biggest city, Maracaibo,
last year but stepped down following accusations of amassing an unexplained
fortune dating back to his time as the governor of Zulia state.
Rosales was due to appear in court in Venezuela on 20th April to face corruption
charges. He failed to appear. He denies the charges and says that they are
politically motivated. One of his lawyers in Venezuela, Alvaro Castillo, claims
that his client left the country as "he wasn''''t going to have a fair or clean
or impartial trial".
Following Rosales'''' arrival in Peru, his lawyer Javier Valle-Riestra said that
they had submitted their asylum request to Peruvian authorities on 21st April
and expected a decision within two months. It took about a week.
Peru''''s Foreign Minister José García Belaúnde maintains the decision was in
line with the country''''s commitment to international law. In response to Peru''''s
actions, Venezuela has recalled its ambassador to Lima.
PERU & CHINA SIGN FTA
Peru and China have signed a Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The agreement was
finalised at a ceremony in Beijing on 28th April and was attended by Peru''''s
vice-president Luis Giampietri and Trade Minister Mercedes Araoz.

Okay so I've been doing some careful comparing and analyzing because it's summer and I have nothing better to do with my life. I really think this is definitely Nick (the big picture in the middle), and I've composed some other pictures taken at similar angles that I think show the best resemblance, mostly in the nose. I think the closest one is the top right from GotY. I think the nose, mouth, the way his hair falls, and overall expression is just uncanny in it's similarity to the middle picture. The one underneath that, i thought his mouth looked the same, and since they are both pictures of him singing, I think it's pretty fair judgement. And the the top left picture, his hair underneath the hat falls almost exactly the same as it does in the picture in question, which I suppose could be a coincidence, but Nick's hair seems to do that middle part thing a lot. I would have done the same thing with Jason, but I don't have enough pictures of him to really do a fair job. But anyways, my whole point is I'm about 99.999999% positive it's Nick. If anyone cares lol.
Tell me what you guys think?

'Custom Made' Chair 2011.
Private commission.
I first started making 'Custom Made' chairs in 2004, they were launched at 100% Design London 2005.
Finding what I believe to be important in what others discard is nothing new to me.
I remember the long alleyway at the back of my grandmothers flat, I would find broken televisions, discarded furniture and old chairs, all the raw material needed to feed a child's imagination. Now the type of chairs that once were around my grandmothers dining table and living room are discarded en mass. These chairs are imbued with my story and her history. This was the starting point for 'Custom Made'. Now as a designer this starting point has become embellished by my design conscience, there are enough mass produced chairs in this world. I collect discarded and unwanted chairs from the street, car boot sales, jumble sales, second hand shops and charity shops.
I make chairs with chairs, they are naively constructed intentionally recapturing the adventure of childhood.
The chairs are sprayed colours influenced by my past love of enameled Corgi toy racing cars.
'Custom Made' Chairs are my adult go-carts.

Hi,
On the Sleight of Mind Set day we break the spell by not only teaching you the tricks and illusions but go behind the curtain and revealing the psychology of the methods.
This is where the real power lies, by giving you the recipe for turning these tricks into effects that work for you. My goal of the day is to share with you many of the tools, techniques and ideas that have entertained and mystified people over the past 100 years.
These ideas, tools and techniques are not just restricted to being used to deliver Mind Magic, they can be applied across other areas too. They allow you to:-
IN THIS WEEK'S NEWSLETTER:
Raise Your Novelty Level
It's All Smoke and Mirror Neurons
Who Still Believes in Magic?
Enter the Mind Magician

Psychological Artistry
What Do You Get On The Workshops?
What Do People Say About The Workshops?
Booking Your Place
Show your unique perspective
Make events unique and special
Channel your drive
Exude your sense of fun
Inspire others with your ideas
Evidence your passion and empathy
Standout and apart from the crowd
Add value to others
Create curiosity and a buzz
Plant seeds of future conversations
Take up an authoritative stance
Provide a memorable experience
Forget neutrality; we have to make an impact. Your message has no value unless it makes an impact. We have to show agility in how we think, in cognitive fitness terms, we have to show mental acuity. By making an impact and showing mental acuity you make an emotional connection you are stirring the mirror neurons in others minds.
The Sleight of Mind Set Workshops are being held around the country in Doncaster - 13th September 2013, Bath - 21st September 2013, London - 1st October 2013, Glasgow - 8th October 2013 and Birmingham - 15th October 2013. For more information, please see www.mindsways.com/SMS/
RAISE YOUR NOVELTY LEVEL
Regardless of your current situation you are aware that you have a lot more potential. A way forward that comes from the neuroscience of leadership is to introduce something novel into your mix, this is precisely what the SMS day is all about. The overall idea is that by its very nature, learning Mind Magic is novel to many people, as are the tools and techniques used in it. It is about creating a new perspective, seeing your world from a different angle and raising your level through embracing novelty.
Engaging with and using Mind Magic works on many levels for you. It is novel and entertaining, it attracts and holds people's attention. You will witness the attention that floating a borrowed note in front of people gives you. It is also about firing and stirring the mirror neurons whilst fufilling a need for:
Control
Status - Leadership
Showing Special Powers
Mystery and the unexplained
Emotional Connection with others
To see some of this in action please look at these videos at www.mindsways.com/SMS/
IT'S ALL SMOKE AND MIRROR NEURONS
Enter the magician: A saying that has long been associated with magicians is that it is all done with smoke and mirrors. Well, there is obviously a bit of truth in that, but Mind Magic is done through Mirror Neurons. In 1992 an Italian scientist called Giacomo Rizzolatti came across and articulated the concept of Mirror Neurons, the general idea being that "mirror neurons" become active in our brain by observing (or even reading) about other people's behaviours. The brain actually responds as if we were doing the observed behaviour.
To see more on this, please go to www.mindsways.com/SMS/
WHO STILL BELIEVES IN MAGIC?
You may think that you don't believe in magic in any way or form., but if we take a closer look at ourselves, we are surrounded by ritual, superstitions and the belief in invisible forces. I have sat with government officers, scientists, CEOs and whole mixture of people, and one phrase quickly shows the magical beliefs that abound: "touch wood".
At its mere mention you can see people desperately looking around for wood. How many of us have lucky charms, rituals we go through before exams, interviews, meetings etc. ? As people, we want to believe that there is something beyond, that there are invisible forces that impose order in the world.
There are many reasons that lie behind why we believe weird things. One is that we want to be in control. In fact the more uncertainty and unpredictable our situations become the more we grope for control. Mind Magic, otherwise known as mentalism, uses the idea that strange things are afoot. For more information on this or anything else in this newsletter, please see www.mindsways.com/SMS/
ENTER THE MIND MAGICIAN
We have a deep seated need for status, control and mystery. The Mind Magician (and mentalists like Derren Brown) are experts at tapping in to and meeting this need, especially as many think it may just be real. Regardless of how many rational explanations are made that it's based on psychology and trickery, our need for control and our beliefs in invisible forces rejects the rational in favour of the emotional. The mirror neurons are stirring in us and the needs for mystery are met through Mind Magic. This is why Mind Magic has held its popularity over the last 100 years.
The tools, techniques and ideas accrued are all very clever, some simpler than others but all share this rich tradition. Some of this tradition is the passing on and teaching of these ideas on days like the SMS. To see more about the rich history and tradition, please see www.mindsways.com/SMS/
INFORMATION ALONE IS NOT MOTIVATION
Your message to motivate others has to make an impact and leave an impression. Otherwise no actions will follow from it. To do this we have to think carefully about how we get our message across. In doing this "show me" is more powerful than "tell me". This is why we focus so much on the Show Not Tell (SNT) philosophy.
Visual illusions are real-world demonstrations of how our minds work. Because of their subjective nature, illusions are powerful expressions of we fail to match what we see to the real world around us. This is what the SNT kit shows.
The SNT kit is designed to give you a sense and understanding of what is going on beneath the surface, allowing you to grasp the psychology of every illusion. A strong visual illusion makes you;
See something that isn't there
Fail to see something that is, or
See something different to what is there
Remember, you can't believe what you see, but you see what you believe. It's easy to imagine that these illusions happen only on pieces of paper, on computer screens or during magic tricks; easy, but wrong. They're significant in all areas of our lives, affecting;
Our Identity (How you see yourself)
Our Aspirations (What you want to do in life)
Our Drives (Why you get out of bed in the morning)
Our Ambitions (Where you want to go)
Our Personality (Who you are)
And our very essence. Illusions, then, play a critical role in your life and in everyone else's. They determine how you act, behave and think. On the day, you also receive your own copy of the SNT kit, for more information, see www.mindsways.com/SNT/
Psychological Artistry and Mind Magic has at its core the idea of showing, not just telling. Imagine any magic trick where the magician just described what was happening. This also brings to the fore the idea of ensuring Multiple Moments of Interest (MMI's) as part of your message. These are Multiple Moments of:
Interest
Interaction
Insight
Imagine then taking this and combing it with ideas from "Thought Leadership" such as:
Focus creating clarity
Clarity showing power
Power giving you understanding
Understanding giving you certainty
Certainty leading to trust
Trust leading to actions
On the Sleight of Mind Set workshop, we use Psychological Artistry and Mind Magic as a means and a prism for looking at these ideas. Please go to www.mindsways.com/SMS/ for more.
PSYCHOLOGICAL ARTISTRY
The approach we take is what we call Psychological Artistry and involves using a blend of psychology, mind magic (or mentalism), personal development and smart thinking ideas. By tapping into people's imagination, curiosity and desire for mystery we can engage people in all different areas. By adding in psychological approaches, this is strengthened. I appreciate that by its very nature, it is not a traditional approach but that is where its power lies.
Interesting examples of how all is not as it appears are the McGurk effect, Richard Wiseman's "The Incredible Colour Changing Card Effect" and a twist on a classic Fred Astaire routine. I would love to know what you think. These illustrate both the power and the approach of Psychological Artistry. Please take a look here or go to mindsways.com/SMS/

Me -Every photographer occasionally posts a "selfie" of various kinds. A lot of times it is a "cheesy" bathroom mirror or other type reflection shot. This is one of mine. Been doing a lot of reflecting lately on who I am. This is pretty much it. I am a human being who works at a job that for the first time in my life, I actually don't hate. I am a passionate photographer who sees beauty in almost everything around me. I am as about as "real" as they come. Brutally honest at times, that is often perceived as negativity. I see it as speaking my mind about things that matter & I try to make a difference by doing so. I believe in life after death & that God has a purpose for not only this life, but the one that follows. I, through my photography try to paint a picture at how I see this beautifully tragic roller coaster of a life. I would take a bullet in the head for my family if I had to. For the 1st time in 39.999999 years I feel comfortable in my own skin. I do not worry about offending ANYONE. I simply try to keep things simple. Including not taking myself too serious. I am no better than ANYONE on this planet in GOD's eyes. He love's us all. So I must try and love everyone, even if I don't "like" someone or agree with them. It is not my place to judge. I know who I am. I know where I stand on things. If my beliefs & my honesty offends you, hopefully you get something positive out of it. If not, maybe your missing something. My hope is to leave my mark on this planet through my family that I leave behind.Through my photography. My advise to YOU: Slow down, smell the roses, coffee, rain. Enjoy the scenery, loved ones around you. Tell them you love & appreciate them. Don't assume they know it. They need to hear it. Explore nature. Explore the local small towns, cities around you. Get to know your neighbor by actually talking to them face to face. Take yourself out of your "comfort" zone & open your eyes & senses to this magnificent world around you. Take photographs, paint, write, make art. Dance with your wife & children in the living room. This is me. Take it or leave it. Life IS beautiful.

Over the past 18 Months I have been running these Sleight of Mind Set Workshops throughout the country, and I am really pleased with the feedback, it has been tremendous, please don't just take my word for it, (I am after all biased) please see what people have said by going to mindsways.com/what-people-say/
For over twenty five years I have seen how magic can add value to delivery. There are a lot of unknown techniques out there, many of them psychological, that engages and attracts people. The Sleight of Mind Set workshop is all about how you can tap into this rich stream of ideas and "Mind Magic's" enduring popularity. The day looks at two paths running together, one learning the tricks and effects, the other why and how they add value to us.
They start at 10:00 a.m. and finish at 4:30 p.m. For more information about the workshops, please got to mindsways.com/SMS/
TAPPING INTO ENDURING POPULARITY
Mind Magic holds an enduring allure and popularity by bringing together entertainment, mystery and the paranormal. Magic is never far out of the popular sphere with Derren Brown currently filling seats across the country with his 'Infamous' tour and drawing large audiences.
This is also shown by Now You See Me, which is based on the premise of 'what if magic were real'. Starring Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg and Isla Fisher, it shows the hold that magic has over our imagination. To see the trailer and more, please go to mindsways.com/SMS/.
Our aim is to make the day informative, entertaining and practical for you. People have attended for many reasons including:
Curiosity
Learning something new
Interest in how the mind works
Adding variety to enliven their presentations
New and different approaches
Adding to their business practices
An increased reputation
A channel for their passion and fascination
Wider perspectives and experiences
The real power of Mind Magic and Psychological Artistry lies not with just the tricks, but the effect that the delivery of the tricks have on people. By doing this, you are tapping into the emotions of mystery combined with the power of the Personal Touch.
On the workshops and in the SNT kit, we give you the tricks, however, learning to use them with what you do is where the real power lies. This is when the real magic happens, in the minds of others. For more on the tricks, effects and pieces on the workshops, please go to mindsways.com/SMS/
PSYCHOLOGICAL ARTISTRY IN ACTION
A few examples of these tricks which make up part of the day are the "McGurk Effect" and Richard Wiseman's "Incredible Colour Changing Card Trick". These illustrate both the power and the approach of Psychological Artistry. By showing that all is not as it appears, these videos illustrate in a very visual manner that we cannot believe what we see, but we see what we believe. It is this and many other techniques that we train you in on the day. To watch these fascinating videos, please go to mindsways.com/SMS.
GAINING APPLIED ADVANTAGE
A theme of the day is how you can use these ideas and techniques to add practical value to your delivery through:

Being memorable (giving people something novel to talk about)
Creating attraction (and making you stand out)
