Just another shooting in the lives of Colorado/US/ World... I have no words... I don’t get it. I saw a “security “ guard spring through the parking lot for someone stealing shoes. You know what was probably done???? Nothing. Maybe they didn’t get the shoes, but they didn’t get any consequences either. I’m not in fear, but I am well aware that I could be a victim any day at any time. 10 more lives lost to gun violence. I refuse to have a gun. I have shot a gun and have been trained as a Range Safety Officer sometime before 2013. I do not believe guns have a part in our society. I like shorting events at the Olympics, target shooting... but it shouldn’t go beyond that. I am against hunting,!they eyes of the face you are about to kill.... it isn’t just an animal... Gad has a plan for Earth. None of us knows what it is. It isn’t about violence, yet none of us among the “survivors” know what the reason is. Don’t take it out in others.! I keep thinking about one of the victims in particular, Lynn Murray..... she could have been me. I know I saw lots of orders for that store last Monday, really only because it isn’t in my immediate area. I am so sorry. I am well aware it could happen anytime anyplace. I am not immune. And if I am a “victim” those instead I have served those proud who I am around every day.... I am no better than anyone on this planet... yet I hope I made an impact somewhere.

Photographed during a perfectly clear sky yesterday. Exact lunar phase is waxing gibbous of 97.4% illumination.
I wanted to try something a bit different, so I decided to set up my camera (the Nikon) on a 4 second exposure in normal light and, well, struck a 'pose'. Although its grainier than I expected, I like how dark it turned out for some reason. Not such a fan of my canckle though...
Another NWP Sunday evening. It topped out at about 105 here today, 113 about 30 miles further east. Here come Wes and Danylo around the Fairville curves seen from the shady, Adirondack chair-adorned pond at Rams Gate Winery. Gonna be a HOT freakin week here, and next weekend sees the annual trip of the Amtrak race extra to the Sonoma speedway about a mile and a half to my back.

Amtrak's southbound Silver Meteor was led out of New York Penn Station by an unusual combination of an ACS-64 and P42DC on this day. The duo is seen racing through Jersey Avenue station on 3 track. 639 must have been washed recently as it sparkled in the late afternoon sun. The diesel was most likely deadheading between terminals and was not in use.

This shot was taken about 10 minutes after the moon cleared the rooftops at the end of our street (so hanging very low in the sky), and was taken using my 18-200mm lens. I was on a tripod (unlike for yesterday). :) The color difference as compared to yesterday is due to atmospheric effects with the moon so low in the sky.
