1216 950 der Wiener Lokalbahn hat einen Autozug von Amsterdam nach Schwertberg am Haken und zieht diesen am Morgen des 15. Mai bei Dettenhof über die KBS 880.

Für Lokomotion ist aktuell die 187 310 von Railpool im Einsatz. Am frostigen 11. Februar 2021 stand die Sonne schon tief, als sie die ehemalige Blockstelle Hilperting mit dem DGS 43115 nach Verona Q.E. passierte.

Railpool's 187 310 is hired to Lokomotion at the moment. I took this picture of the Traxx engine on February 11th 2021 near the former signal post at Hilperting. It hauled intermodal train DGS 43115 to Verona Q.E. in Northern Italy.

Arbaroba, on the Massawa – Asmara line, is a classic photo spot. Here is one of these traditional departure shots, with a mixed passenger and freight train, and the more powerful 442.59 Mallet on the point.

Deutsch - Italienische Zusammenarbeit vor dem KLV-Zug KT 42129 von Köln Eifeltor nach Verona Q.E. war am 09. Oktober 2024 zu beobachten. Die für die Mercitalia Rail fahrende 193 706 und die 193 313 von DB Cargo beförderten ab München Nord die komplett beladene Leistung über den Brenner zum Bestimmungsbahnhof. Die Aufnahme entstand bei Brannenburg im deutschen Inntal.

The 193 706 running for Mercitalia Rail and the 193 313 from DB Cargo transported the fully loaded train from Munich North over the Brenner Pass to the destination station. The photo was taken near Brannenburg in the German Inn Valley.

Model 950, from the era in which Trek made bicycles in Waterloo, Wisconsin. It’s about 35 years old now but it just doesn’t seem quite that old to me!

I bought the Trek brand new sometime in the 1990s and rode it for exercise daily after work and on weekends until I bought my first aluminum Cannondale bicycle circa 1999.

Of course some items have been replaced. That saddle is at least the 3rd one, at least the second set of handlebar grips and I’ve lost track of the chain replacements. And of course the tires have been replaced many times. The last time I did, I chose the ones most suited for use on smooth blacktop street use with minimal rotational mass.

That’s a Mirrycle bar-end rear view mirror. Excellent product!

Not sure why this came up, but it ended up heading back to Derby RTC the next day without doing a single run.

Milwaukee Road GP20 950 at Bensenville, Illinois on an unknown day in April 1981, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 950 was built in February 1958 as GP9 264 ( c/n 23531 ), was renumbered sometime after July 1959 to 264, rebuilt in December 1973 to GP20 950, sold to GATX in mid 1989, resold to Georgetown Railroad and renumbered 9051. Sorry about the poor quality image, it's all I got.
