My Flickr Stranger # 94 in my second set of 100 Strangers is Nicki. She is the Assistant Manager at the butterfly habitat at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain Georgia known as the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center. A very renowned gardens that has been open to the public since 1952 when they opened it as the Ida Cason Gardens (later Callaway Gardens). Named for Cason Callaway's mother, Ida Cason Callaway. Then in the 1960's the facility became known as Callaway Gardens. Nicki was so very helpful in that we arrived right before closing time and yet she stayed late and gave us a personal guided tour of the center. Naming the butterflies for us and giving us ample opportunity to photograph them. A quote from Nicki in a USA Today article, "The best part of the job is seeing the guests — the smiles, the interaction," said conservatory manager Nicole Gamble, an entomologist at the center. Nicki, we learned, was getting married in a month and was extremely excited about this event in her life. She has worked at Callaway Gardens for 8 years. Her birthday is in December and she will turn 24. Interestingly her first name is Angela... Angela Nicole... but "Nicki" is what she goes by. Thank you sweet Nicki for your amazing kindness shown us and for wanting to be one of my 100 Strangers on Flickr. Wishing you a very blessed marriage and happiness always!!! Ce monument, inauguré en 1950 remplace un monument très anti allemand qui a été dynamité en 1940.
