'Haulwen' (Bright Star).

Haulwen is a Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 standard gauge steam locomotive, seen here taking on water at Bronwydd Arms railway station.

Built by Hunslet at the Vulcan Foundry in 1945 for the Longmoor Military Railway. Rebuilt by Hunslet in 1961 and sold to the National Coal Board it was eventually taken out of service 20 years later in 1981.

Haulwen operated continously on the Gwili Steam Railway for the last 9 years but it is currently on static display.
