E9300 is one of a batch of one hundred and sixty two Mark I Brake Second Opens (BSO) built between 1955 and 1959. They were vacuum braked, steam heated, mounted on BR1 bogies and had seating for thirty nine passengers. E9300 is seen here at the Midland Railway Centre, Butterley, 25th January 2009 and was built to lot 30244 at Doncaster in 1956. It was withdrawn from BR service circa 1983.
