This is a picture of same apartment building with the "balcony scene". This modern apartment building is in a Vinex site in the Netherlands. Purmerend, 2016.
I wonder what kind of stories can be told from behind the curtains.
Thank you very much for your visits, faves, and kind comments.
Nice 8x8 bull elk in Jasper National Park. The cow you see in the background represents 1/3 of this guy's harem. That's right, a total harem of three cows. All of the harems we saw in Jasper NP were small. The largest group of cows we found was eight. That's in sharp contrast to a couple of harems we saw in Banff National Park...one group of 23 cows and the other was 27. Some local observers told me that the small harem sizes were unusual. One theory was wolf predation...

8x8 oil on panel pet portrait for one of the best friends that one could ask for. I hope she likes it because it was a blast to paint.
Greetings all! Merry Christmas! (Happy Holidays to those who celebrate other events during this time)!
This build was inspired by Kai NRG/Geneva's Tiny Trailblazers series. Be sure to check them out, as they are quite stellar.
As soon as I saw the Tiny Trailblazer, I knew I had to do one at one point. After I finally obtained a LEGO baby, I figured a Santa hat would make a good combo. One of my favorite parts, which was also the last addition of this build, is the goblet on the mantle (although a minifigure cannot hold it).
Have a great Christmas and holiday season everyone!
Still messing with this new retro action set . . . this particular action crops, adds the edge overlay and allows you to do everything from BW to vintage to straight color . . . . I went a little vintage here!

Greetings all! This is my entry for the Summer Joust 8x8 category. Inspired by all of John's Katoren builds, I decided to give it a go at some Middle Eastern architecture. I'm quite pleased with how the dome turned out on top, and I love the bit of gold on the floor. Enjoy!
Bit of a last minute build for #febrovery I wanted to play around with some brickbuilt wheels as I haven’t really tried it before. They turned out reasonable strong so I quickly made a quick rc 8x8 chassis to see how well they would hold up. They turned out to be pretty strong so I made a body for the little rover. The build itself only took about 3 days to make.

Somewhere around midnight, with the sallow full moon peering through foggy city streets, there's an apparition moving down the deserted alleyways. Stopping here and there, you might hear a rattle and hissst...hissssst...it's spooky calling card is done and it disappears into the gloom...
For my sister-in-law Susi, and nieces and nephew --shh, don't tell! Their dog (and Floyd's wife), Snooky.

Laser cut cardboard sheets. 2x 1" , 1x 3/4" and 1x 1/2" holes.
The idea here is to put the 8x8 LED matrix into an Ikea picture frame. The cardboard cut-outs are used as spacers to hold the LED matrix off of the front panel which is a sheet of milky white acrylic. If this works, I should get nice big red round dots displayed through the acrylic sheet.

This 8x8 civilian vehicle (formerly military) can often be found in remote parts of rural Kimmeria, doing very normal civilian things that require something a bit bigger than the average truck. The military version is hardly any different, but obviously, those aren't hauling bales of hay (stolen from Tony Sava).
