Rumor had it that there was a pair of Bald Eagles at this regional county park. My friend and I decided to give it a go and meet up. Not only did we find an eagle, but it gave us a look at its fishing style. I marked on the photo the target, in case you hadn't guessed. Beyond my wildest dreams ...
Conrail SW9 8923 shows off its NYC heritage as it works the intermodal facility in Rochester, NY in July 1977. This is at the East end of the intermodal yard, with Atlantic Ave. down below. Kodak and Xerox were big intermodal customers back in the day.

Burrowing Owl:
Athene cunicularia
The breeding season has begun and some of the Burrowing Owl's are returning to burrows. The male will call hoping to get a response from a lady owl.
Some of the Burrowing Owl's in our area stay all year at their Burrow sites. Some go other places that we do not know about but return in the Spring.
