Central Michigan’s 740 job heads up a slight grade as they proceed east to interchange cars at Harger. The conductor gives a friendly wave as they are about to cross S. Jefferson Ave. during April of 1992. Like so many other routes the tracks have long been removed.
After being retired by CSX earlier this year, all 10 of their ST70AH's were patched for PRLX and sent off to Ferromex for long term lease, which already had a handful of SD70ACe-T4's on lease.
Still sporting it's AC traction lighting bolt, Distributed Power sticker and CSX-assigned number, PRLX 8904 trails second on a Directo Mexico-Guadalaja light power as they head north to pick up their train to one of the "new" sidings that span for almost 15km between the KM Morelos-29 and Morelos-43.
Even though these SD70's haven't been working as intended, it's still pretty nice to see them as they change the color pallet on FXE's roster by a mile.
Now, off to try and catch them leading!
