On a trip north to Wyoming & Montana one of the highlights was a tour of Black Thunder Mine. The guide was fantastic and let us get up close and personal to the loading operation. Even letting us climb on some of the loading platforms for some elevated views of the train loading. An experience I won't soon forget.

The Approach to Bluefield: NS 9555 is now on the home stretch of the Christiansburg Division outside of Bluefield, WV on May 23, 2020. This is taken from the U.S. 460 overpass heading into town. I always enjoy the glint the rain provides on the wheel polished railheads.
