Lower Caste Children
Mora, India
While caste may slowly be of diminishing importance in the urban areas of India, it is still very important in rural villages. Pictured here are children of the scheduled caste (the lowest caste) who hang out around the house instead of attending school. More interventions are needed to target this frequently neglected population. The children were excited and nervous about having a strange looking visitor come and talk with them.

“Á volta da misa”
É unha fotografía do ano 1954.

The same old heartbeat fills the emptiness I have inside
My Amoeba Music shirt! Got it at a vintage store on Saturday. By far the best find I've had. I rocked it with my checkered Vans flats.
Skippin school tomorrow. No real classes--it's "Diversity Day"...too bad I have so much freakin' work. Sorry, diversity.
I realized how much you used to make me laugh today when we talked
October 15, 2011
On Saturday night, Dan and I got dressed up nice so we could go out for a fancy anniversary dinner. First we got to visit his sister and brother-in-law, to meet Dan's new nephew, which was super awesome. Dinner, on the other hand, was a little disappointing, as the restauraunt was full of rowdy t-shirt clad Rutgers fans, rather than other fancily-clad people. The food was good, though, and we did get dressed up pretty, and then we got home, drank a ton more wine and watched Total Recall. So, a win, really.
