CP 119-07 idles away in Smiths Falls just a couple hours ago while waiting for a VIA to pass before starting work in the yard. The lashup was a beauty with a BNSF trailing.
I stand alone at the edge of the world
in ruins, battered and forlorn, yet undaunted.
Once I was a happy place: a home, a haven;
now my empty walls sigh
and only the winds can hear.

CP 223 has CP 8781, CP 8050, & CP 8717 for power, its run from Maine nearly done as it passes North Jct. Soon it will enter the yard at Old St-Luc.

My husband and I visited my sister in LA during March Break 2009 and the other evening she was asking why she had never seen the photos from that trip. I promised her I would finally share some. They were all jpegs but with the improvements in Lightroom most required only basic editing and a little "dehaze" to cut through some of the LA smog fog.
Hapag-Lloyd painted CP 8781 blends in with some Hapag-Lloyd containers, as the specially painted ES44AC works mid-train on train 149. CP 8781 was painted in a Hapag-Lloyd scheme to recognize CP's partnership with the shipping company and subsequent traffic through the Port of Saint John's.
Specially painted CP 8781 leads CP 143 as it does moves in Lachine not too long before sunset. Oddly this CP 143 would not end up leaving Montreal, in fact today's CP 143 has this unit leading again!
From Sandsend, looking towards Whitby. The day was figuring out what weather to bring, and eventually became a lovely summer's day

I was shooting in Cornwall, near St Michael's mount... I had forgotten my trusty 10 stop filter and so I waited for the perfect time after sunset, when I could get a 25 second exposure (ISO100, f11), but still capture enough of the pink and purple evening light to make the scene feel magical. #EarthCapture #BBCEarth #EarthOnLocation #Cornwall #Landscape #Photography #Evening #Coast
