I was going through some old photos and found this and decided to post it a little late. I hope you like it.

Last night, it rained slightly. My favorite windows fogged up with condensation. Shooting in Macro, I was able to capture the distant NEON signs advertising various beers and liquors. Number 8711 was built in January 1957 as IC GP9 9253 ( c/n 22318 ) on EMD Order 5480, was rebuilt at Paducah during 1979 to GP11 8711. Afgelopen maandag werden er drie bakken van de in 2012 verongelukte VIRM 8711 vanaf de Wagenwerkplaats in Amersfoort per vrachtwagen naar HKS in Amsterdam gebracht. Op deze foto wordt de zwaar beschadigde ABv5 van de 8711 met baknummer 380 8251 de loods uitgetrokken. Aan één kant tilt een vorkheftruck de bak op, terwijl aan de andere zijde een soort “hondje” onder de bak is geplaatst. Zodra de bak buiten staat wordt deze met behulp van twee hijskranen gekanteld en op de vrachtwagen geplaatst, deze brengt de bak dan naar Amsterdam. 4-7-2022.
