I was finally able to get out today and follow along with Meridian Southern as they went over to the NS interchange in town and shoot their recent acquisitions: a pair of ex Canadian National GMD SW1200RS'. For 63 years old, these old units look and sound great. As a side note, these are the first EMD (GMD) units the railroad has owned in more than a decade. The last ones were a small fleet of former MidSouth ICG Paducah GP10's.
