The Story: CSX 849 leads a freight train across the old PRR High-Line.
MXZ 1759 is a Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini new to Lothian Buses in September 2007 as SN57 DEU (Number 849). It joined the Lothian Motorcoaches fleet during 2019 for private hires and contracts but is seen here in Armadale whilst working for Lothian Country Buses on their 280 service to Livingston.
On another jaunt in and out of Scotland, Colas Rail 66849 'Wylam Dilly' trundles round the spur leading to the ECML at Monktonhall Junction, at the start of its return journey back to Doncaster on engineers train 6E36 from Millerhill.

UP 849 was built in September 1962. It posed for its portrait sometime in the early 1970s. In March 1986, it was donated to the Feather River Rail Society in Portola, CA. In late 2018, it was sold out of preservation to Western Rail in Washington.

Arriving at Bathgate Station on Rail Replacement from Edinburgh Park is Lothian Motorcoaches Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL 849 - MXZ1759. New as SN57DEU.
Approaching Tesco's at the Queensferry retail park Volvo B9TL / Wright Eclipse Gemini number 849 (MXZ 1759 / SN57 DEU) is one of several of the Lothian Motor Coaches (formerly 841-850) now operating on LB's Lothian Country Buses wing and nice to see the return of the gold fleet numbers on this group (844-850).
As can be seen this is still wearing its motorcoach livery with a few added-on banners and bits and pieces, presumably not to confuse passengers. I imagine this and its fellow fleet friends will be going for repainting in green and cream shortly. Hope so!

Train 4 running on time passes the 849 blade on it's eastbound trip to Chicago. The train will stay on time and meet a 6 hour late number 3 much further north, sadly I would have to catch a flight in a couple hours and miss the afternoon train 3.

Arriva Buses Wales MPD 849 - Y549 UJC is towed away from Chester depot, for its final journey to the scrapyard. New to Rhyl, it moved on to Wrexham when just a year old and spent the majority of its time there before a final move to Chester in 2017, where it didn't last too long and has been sitting in the yard withdrawn from service for a number of years.
