Always love getting down to West Shore, always see something different, and this time was no exception. Found this old sunken wreckage from the road so walked what felt like forever to it, thinking it could have been a huge ship with treasure, turned out it was just a little sailing boat...still, its in a better condition than my car is right now!

The origin of the company dates back to 1911 when Masujiro Hashimoto founded The Kwaishinsha Motor Car Works. In 1914, the company produced its first car, called DAT, an acronym of the company's investors' family names: Kenjiro Den, Rokuro Aoyama and Meitaro Takeuchi. It was renamed to Kwaishinsha Motorcar Co., Ltd. in 1918, and again to DAT Motorcar Co. in 1925.
The majority of the companies early output were trucks, due to a downturn in the truck market DAT merged with Jitsuyo Motors., Japans second largest truck maker in 1925. to become DAT Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd..

The name Nissan originated in the 1930's. In 1930, Aikawa purchased controlling shares in DAT Motors, and then in 1933 it merged Tobata Casting's automobile parts department with DAT Motors. As Tobata Casting was a Nissan company, this was the beginning of Nissan's automobile manufacturing. With Nissan Motors registered as a subsiduary company in 1934.
Nissan built built engines trucks and planes for the Japanese military, The company's main plant was moved to China after land there was captured by Japan. until it was captured by American and Russian forces.
From 1934 Nissan had been building Austin Sevens under licence, though the legitimacy of that licence is questionable. But a licence to build Austins from CKD Austins from 1952, and after three years to make all parts was signed in 1952. Nissan produced and marketed Austins for seven years. The agreement also gave Nissan rights to use Austin patents, which Nissan used in developing its own engines for its Datsun line of cars. In 1953 British-built Austins were assembled and sold, but by 1955, the Austin A50 – completely built by Nissan and featuring a slightly larger body with new 1489 cc engine—was on the market in Japan. Nissan produced 20,855 Austins from 1953–1959. Nissan developed its own engine the highly advanced four cylinder OHC, Nissan L engine, This engine powered the new Datsun 510, which began to be sold worldwide.
In 1966, Nissan merged with the Prince Motor Company, bringing more upmarket cars, including the Nissan Skyline and Nissan Gloria, into its range.
From the 1950's Nissan had been exported cars, and first showed cars in the US at the 1959 LA Auto show. By 2011 Nissan had become the worlds sixth largest automobile maker behind General Motors, Volkswagen Group, Toyota, Hyundai Motor Group, and Ford. the company's global headquarters is located in Nishi-ku, Yokohama. In 1999, Nissan entered a two way alliance with Renault S.A. of France, which owns 43.4% of Nissan while Nissan holds 15% of Renault shares, as of 2008. Along with its normal range of models, Nissan also produces a range of luxury models branded as Infiniti.

3/23/16 - I bought some limes the other day and didn't end up using them. I always like the cross section of citrus fruits, so I used it for today's picture.

Friends. This morning we had a 'play date' with the most delectable Master E & his mum, my fabulous friend Maria off of The Catholic Girls. Life is so busy, and there's so much to do. Every week passes by with school runs and sports clubs and other 'stuff' - and before you know it, it's been 2 months since you saw your friend. That's not good enough. Life without friends and family is sorely lacking in substance. This boy is so beautiful in all ways he melts my heart!
A beautiful day and most certainly a beautiful day for taking a walk along the beach and esplanade. Catching up with my 365 ... 2 missed days, ouch!!!

O Grupo Empório de Teatro volta aos palcos capixabas com o novo espetáculo “Boulevard, 83”. Trata-se de um musical que faz a releitura plástica e estética de cabarés de várias épocas. A idéia da montagem surgiu com bases no glamour da década de 30 do século passado, mas movimenta-se por mais cinco décadas: de 1890 a 1940.
A trama se dá em torno da história de François Jocker e Joe Jocker, proprietários do endereço da casa de espetáculos mais antigas da Rua Boulevard, situada em New Paris City (um lugar híbrido entre Paris e Nova York).
Após a morte de François Jocker, que aparentemente era rico, é feita a leitura do testamento e os artistas que trabalhavam e moravam na casa descobrem que ele, na verdade, estava falido.
Com a casa hipotecada, todos passam a temer uma ordem de despejo. Para solucionar o problema, os artistas se unem e resolvem montar um show de reabertura do Boulevard e tentar conseguir oitenta e três mil "Francos Dolados" para quitar os títulos da hipoteca. Porém, ninguém contava que a maior cafetina da cidade, Divine Lemitré, em parceria com o maior gângster da Califórnia, Jam Montola, faria de tudo para conseguir ficar com a casa e transformá-la no maior bordel de New Paris City.
“Boulevard, 83” transita por diversas escolas teatrais, mas concentra-se principalmente no realismo fantástico e na comédia bufa, chegando a uma mistura excêntrica de gêneros.
A pesquisa musical ficou por conta de Elenísio Rodrigues que apropriou-se do erudito, jazz, blues e ragtime para compor 12 músicas em parceria com o diretor e ator Leandro Bacellar.
Com um figurino rico em rendas, plumas, meias arrastão, entre outros adereços, o elenco coloca todo o seu vigor em cena com marcações fortes e sensuais. A produção, que levou quase dois anos para ficar pronta, conta com uma equipe de aproximadamente 70 profissionais.
