The Winter season of 83 was an interesting period of operation for the enthusiast on cross Pennine services. This was due to the interworking of operators vehicles. Liverpool depot swopped with Manchester depot and United Segefield in Leeds. Here i return to Liverpool with a an example of a batch of vehicles that from memory were solely allocated to Manchester Hulme Rd. SFV 205P is a 12M Leopard.

meh. I had this great idea today, but i just couldn't get the light right. I can't wait to finally get to use my strobe. So instead I took this overly cliché shot in the mirror. Think of this photo as a place holder :D I might upload something better in a few days to make up for today's lackluster photo.

Passengers on the ferry that goes from NJ to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Zoom in and take some time to study the people! Amazingly enough, I can find evidence of only two cell phones in this crowd: a guy taking a picture on the upper deck, and a woman on the lower deck, outside, just holding hers.
Nearly ready now, straight into the paintshops after the open day and will be in display on 4th July to celebrate South Notts 90's birthday. Really can't wait to see that.

Whilst i have shown the Northern Scottish offerings on the 807 service, NTW supplied similar Dominant bodied Leopards from the PCW or YTU batches. Here former Crosville 165 is seen refueling in Buchanan St Glasgow.
Some time later, 19 Sept 83 Ribble Open day this vehicle was seen in Frenchwood works undergoing a major body re-build. The level of corrosion that was evident was a real concern as i wondered how the coach had remained intact whilst travelling along the motorway... And i had been driving it regularly!
In the background is another vehicle which was later to be found to be structurally challenged, It was a Crosville Willowbrook Leopard of the DDM batch which was a duplicate to Manchester.
