Illinois Central Gulf Railroad GP10 8346 near Alton Junction around 22nd Street in Chicago, Illinois on an unknown day in September 1979, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in May 1954 as IC GP9 9042 ( c/n 19377 ) on EMD Order 5341, it was rebuilt at Paducah during 1974 to GP10 8346.

On a beautiful spring morning BNSF's eastbound Z STOWSP slithers upgrade through the curves at Cable while in the distance the rear help on a westbound BARSTO manifest waits for its turn on the single track.

Built in May 1954 as IC GP9 9042 ( c/n 19377 ) on EMD Order 5341, it was rebuilt at Paducah during 1974 to GP10 8346. The pile of track parts in the foreground was the remains of the diamonds leading to Dearborn Street Station which closed in 1971.
This ex-Abellio London E200 MMC entered service earlier this year on Go Coach route 1.
The bus stop here is outside the Greater London area but is one of the TFL style stops.
