821 DYE later became YSL 32B in 1989 and lasted in service until 1992.

Looking much as the designers intended, ‘Warship’ Class number D821 'Greyhound' cooks gently in the warm sunshine at Merehead during the Foster Yeoman 75th Anniversary Celebration on 28 June, 1998. This and D832 ‘Onslaught’ are the only surviving Warship Class locomotives, the last of which were withdrawn from BR service in 1972.
