I've just started a project of 113 pictures in 2013. One of the themes is to copy a photo you admire on Flickr. This is my take on one of my contacts lovely photos that you can see here.
Thank you Nancy Rose for inspiring me.
#81 Copycat – copy a photo or idea you admire on Flickr in 113 pictures in 2013
1) I’m a night owl...rarely go to bed before midnight and rarely get up before 8 a.m.
2) I love the experience of reading - not just the feel, texture, smell but losing myself in the lives of other people - real or fiction. Recently got a Kindle and love the instant gratification - maybe more than the feel, texture, smell.....hmmmm....wonder what that says about me...
3) I must nurture my creative side or I get cranky...photography, scrapbooks, music all quiet my soul.
4) I like a house that’s clean...enough.
5) I’m developing my own style of photography and I’m slowly accepting that it is what it is.
6) I would like to be remembered as.....well, I’m not sure.....I just don’t want to be forgotten.
7) I’m pretty computer literate for a gal my age.
8) If weight weren’t an issue, I’d eat chocolate ice cream every day.
9) I’m not a loner, but I do need my alone time...solitude and reflection ground me.
10) Without my faith or my family, I would be a mess!

I have long admired of the work of my friend, Michele. Her beautiful style is very different
from mine ~ very narrow focus, warm muted colors, a vintage look, a love of the antique. At first
I felt impatient with this narrow focus as I am very near-sighted and felt as though I had lost my glasses when I was looking at an image of hers. I have come to appreciate her narrow-focus style and the way it leads my eye to her focal point. I have chosen her image of yarn spindles to emulate ~ Muted
Well, I think I came close on the narrow focus, but the muted colors and vintage look? Hardly! LOL!
Below in the comments is a somewhat desaturated version of the above image. It comes closer to her palette but not really! I love your images, Michele! Your unique style is difficult for me to copy! The field is all yours, my friend!
More a play on "send reinforcements we are going to advance" turning into "send three and fourpence we are going to a dance"
We saw this shot several times - the egg on the forks, but not sure which one, so we will refrence the most recent.
Caesar wanted to help - hence him being in the shot.
However we had carefully saved an egg - but when I went to get it out, it had broken in the box, hence the subsitution of the egg shaped timer!

When I saw cathepsut's finger picture I thought - why didn't I think of that? Though when I came to put the smallest head parts of my own nesting dolls on my fingers I realised just how much too big they are!
I decided to send them to Paris as the Guardian Travel section had a cafe scene in good colours for them...
Here's the photo I'm copying:

I was inspired by the "Rowan and Berries" photograph taken by Vintage Vix:

After seeing the beautiful pic by ..Ania on Explore the other day I thought I would try to do something similar for the Copycat theme for the 113 pics group. Mine is not nearly as pretty and not just because our azaleas are already past their prime, but I did have some fun playing with the filters in Snapseed..
This shot is a tip of the hat in the direction of the magical work on Pete Ware's stream. Lately Pete's been posting images showing great work with light, bokeh and depth of field (see comment below for an example or two) creating abstract images of great interest - he makes this look a lot easier than it really is.... why not check out his stream?

This reminded me of acastellano's "Resplendent Island" in Sri Lanka.
